Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem

The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;

The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;

The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;

From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–

By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk I realize Alisha is not my kid, but we love her and we are invested and I am the back up

dyk so when Jen is working (another Jen, haha that's the 4th Jen I've referenced today on here I think) I am up. I am the one they call and I have full medical power of attorney or whatever it's called where I can make medical related decisions.

dyk I have taken the classes, I go to the appts, and so when the nurse JACKS up repeatedly -- well, aaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

dyk just. ARGH.

dyk Ellie is in bed

dyk between the allergy crud (ragweed!!!) and her teething -- she's not eaten much solids today and been cranky for day 4 now

dyk she was pulling on my pants and going, "nigh-niiiiiiiiigh, nigh-nigh"

dyk that is "night-night" haha duh.

dyk so I gave her a warm bottle and gave her some tylenol and some benedryl and away to sleepy land she is.

dyk thank you Jamie

dyk but trust me, my friends give as good as they get. :-)

dyk and I got my word doc set up to make a daily report form with the grey fill-form boxes and I am going to protect the document so she can ONLY write in the boxes and she will then have to report the information a certain way

dyk today, she handled the pump failing appropriately (they put a new one in this morning and the insertion site was tilted so it didn't infuse the insulin) but she bombed all her "daily" stuff -- as she has been bombing from day one

dyk I printed a kid's mood chart that is really very neat -- and I talked with Abi about it over bedtime snack and had her circle the things she felt morning/afternoon(during school)/and evening

dyk it is just as I expected, I have a highly volatile, irritated, angry hypochondriac on my hands.

dyk your friend needs to go with option 1 -- what makes him happy.
dyk nothing like being in a job you hate -- knowing you gave up one that would have made you happy. And it could cause him to resent not only the job, but the spouse.

dyk here is the fdaily report form I just made

dyk at least we'll have consistant information and will be able to EASILY pinpoint where she's messing up -- I fear the "action taken" is still to broad for her peabrain... but..... we've got to start somewhere
