Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem
The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;
The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;
The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;
From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–
By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk guess they'll figure it out when she doesn't show up! haha
dyk I emailed the asst principal asking about the special education bus for Abi -- it is small in students and has an "aide" to help the kids
dyk she simply cannot get on the general ed bus -- no way
dyk and this morning, one of the buses had a fist fight on it -- that ended up with the bus stopped and the police arriving breaking it up, etc
dyk I know several kids on that bus and the moms said they were terrified
dyk can you imagine if Abi had been on that bus? we simply cannot risk it even though I know that is NOT a common occurance!
dyk I am hoping... Monday? Today we'll have my niece with us so that'll be fun/exciting to go pick up Abi at school
dyk I know better?
dyk 9:05 -- no sign of them, no call, lol
DYK but I forgot about that...
dyk no refills remain
dyk and now I am on hold with Doc to get it called in
DYK I am getting pissed off for you! If it were my child I don't think the woman would be safe
dyk because we would say do you want to go night night? and we hand her her binky so she started calling it nigh-nigh and when she wants it -- it's also NIGHT-night time lol
