Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem

The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;

The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;

The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;

From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–

By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

DYK yeah the whole thing is seriously messed up
DYK she didn't want me to "see her that way" (with all the tubes etc.)
DYK the doctors told her 60-70% that they can get it all, but they have not biopsied the lymph nodes yet
DYK I am not close with my mom. She just doesn't want anything to do with anyone and would rather sit alone and be miserable

Dyk oh yeah, Iz literally yells at us when she's mad. It's kinda funny actually.

Dyk I cannot stand to here her really cry, and luckily she doesn't do it often. Definitely more since she's been teething.

Dyk a good friend of mine used cry it out to get her daughter sleeping through the night. I could never ever do that to Isabelle. I would be crying harder then she would be!

DYK omg the cry it out technique....I lasted 2 minutes
DYK she WOULD NOT go to sleep and I finally just laid her down in her crib and walked away. She lost her mind- hysterical crying and I ran right back in and vowed to never ever do it again
DYK It doesn't take long for me to get her back to sleep at night when she cries for me and i would so much rather snuggle with her than leave her alone in her crib

Dyk I thought I remembered there was something wonky about her/your relationship.

Dyk that must suck for you and your brother.

Dyk I wish her a full and speedy recovery!

Dyk yeah, there have been nights when I reeeeaaallllly wish Isabelle would just go to sleep, and stay asleep, but 99% of the time it's easy to get her to sleep.

Dyk and usually I'm just so happy and grateful that she's here and healthy that I love cuddling with her.
