Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem

The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;

The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;

The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;

From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–

By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk, I desperately need to go grocery shopping

dyk, I really don't want to, so I'm going to "force" myself to cook from home

dyk, NOTHING like Jennie & her chopped champions, I have a huge stash of stuff (frozen, non-perishables, long lasting (tofu)) so it's really not a hardship!

dyk, I'll pick up fresh fruit & veggies tomorrow

dyk turns out, I can't wear my new barrettes either -- slightly less severe reaction and it took 3 days to clear up -- so my skin is still abit dry and itchy today -- but not as flakey

dyk damn barettes

dyk, I'm getting back on the vegan bandwagon

dyk, it's easy when I actually meal plan, but I've seriously fallen down on that bandwagon lately

dyk, this week will be a little crazy, but I'm going to spend my evenings working out a plan for the next few weeks...then months

dyk, this busy season, I'm NOT going to gain 20 pounds...mostly because I'm still trying to lose the last 7 or so that I gained last year

dyk, good news that I'm trying not to get my hopes up to far about

dyk, but when I hopped on the scale this morning I was only up about 3 pounds!

dyk, considering all that I ate on vacation, the sudden drop in my exercise routine, I'm very surprised it wasn't 5 times as much!

dyk, Jennie, the cruise I was on was a Carnival cruise and I remember seeing gluten free options

dyk, I think one of the people we were in tour with said that the pizza could be made gluten free (she has celiacs), but I'm not 100% positive about that (she may have been talking about a place they were at for a tour) and that option may not be fleet wide

dyk, but if you miss pizza...maybe that will be an option for you?
