Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem
The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;
The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;
The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;
From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–
By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk one big difference with housing costs here (as opposed to most other parts of the country) is our heating and cooling costs are virtually non-existent
dyk I cannot imagine what it would cost to keep that house cool, but it probably would be equivalent to about what we pay monthly for a large chunk of mortgage
dyk Abigail is being seen Thursday at 10am -- that's the same time she would've been getting the EKG and Echo-doppler at our local non-kid-specialty hospital and the same time my mom is having her lumpectomy.
dyk big day.
Dyk I was gf for about 2 months while we were trying to figure out Isabelle's tummy issues. I didn't notice a difference.
dyk in the beginning it just didn't cut it -- but I stuck with it and now it's ok
dyk and I don't mind not eating pizza as often now --
dyk she worked her last 12 hour night shift (of 5 in a row) last night and was still keyed up over some issues with patients when I talked to her at 9:30am -- she was headed to take a nap
dyk so she'll be at the meeting on about 3 hours of sleep
dyk we'll be quite the pair for sure!
dyk something -- defect, damaged valve, build up, infection, hole
dyk nothing -- thick wall, high blood pressure (would be treated) anemia (medicated) or just an interesting sound
