Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem
The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;
The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;
The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;
From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–
By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk she'll rub her goo all over you -- that's the stage we're in
dyk she splits her time between seriously exploring our environment(s) and hugging my leg and rubbing her nose and face on me. LOL
dyk fun.
dyk but when he wears white nut-huggers.... it's distracting!
dyk I am LOVING my natural hair color -- it's the first time I've had natural hair color since I was 15-16yrs old
dyk back then my hair was very blonde.
dyk just this morning I was thinking -- why did I color it SO LONG?
dyk the mom to be is my age; the dad is 51
dyk neither of them has ever been a parent before
dyk should be interesting
dyk as a side note, the family connection is as follows: dad-to-be is the brother of my step aunt (wife of the brother of my stepfather)
dyk and just to make it really weird, when I first moved to LA, I dated dad-to-be
dyk actually, I just fooled around with dad-to-be and dated a friend of his.
dyk which has made for some awkward extended family gathering over the years. Probably should have thought that thru . . . but I was 22, slightly wild and extremely silly.
