Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem
The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;
The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;
The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;
From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–
By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk it better quite all that by October 8
dyk hahahahahah ahahahahhaah hahahahahaha
dyk when Ellie was up earlier, I put a little pony in for her.
dyk and she scrounged up a night-night (a binky) and would NOT give it to me -- I think if I had attempted one more time she would have tried to bite me -- hahaha
dyk so I just let her have it and she was really cute playing --- though it was a little odd to see her with the binky in and awake. HA
dyk and notice what else she is protecting
dyk I love this!
dyk the hardest part of moving cities mid-career was giving up this kind of friend network
dyk after 7 years in the Bay Area, I finally feel as if I have friends who I can call to bring me soup when I am sick
dyk hit "reply" instead of "quick reply"
dyk then hit "quote"
dyk but as soon as I am well enough to be stressed again, you know I'll be thinking that maybe I should do it . . .
dyk and my work is PILING UP
dyk I am determined to make it until 3
dyk LOVE This ---- duh you'd think I could have figured it out -- hahahah
dyk they were very excited
