Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem
The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;
The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;
The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;
From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–
By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk I slept most of the day away
dyk but have been productive here at the house the rest of the morning and into the afternoon
dyk 39 minutes was spent on the phone with ATT getting our modem reconfigured -- I am now WIRED to it -- ugh!!! Until Sean gets home and can reconfigure the wireless router --

dyk EVERYONE got it (except me) last year
dyk Abi got pneumonia and had to do breathing treatments and a 2nd course of antibiotics in addition to tamiflu?
dyk Dek had H1N1 the year before that? He had the flu TWICE that year
dyk but the little riffs and runs that I can hear in my head I cannot make come out onto the piano!!!
