Helen Hunt Jackson- September Poem
The goldenrod is yellow,
The corn is turning brown,
The trees in apple orchards
With fruit are bending down;
The gentian’s bluest fringes
Are curling in the sun;
In dusty pods the milkweed
Its hidden silk has spun;
The sedges flaunt their harvest
In every meadow nook,
And asters by the brookside
Make asters in the brook;
From dewy lanes at morning
The grapes’ sweet odors rise;
At noon the roads all flutter
With yellow butterflies–
By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

dyk if I could buy this -- I'd be done!!! And he would be one VERY happy kiddo!!!
DYK I agree he will most likely have a delayed reaction when it all sets in.
dyk gotta love it!
dyk and honestly, I hope that too
dyk I am much less worried about him because I know that his gf is taking care of him today and I believe that she will do so in a manner that I would approve
dyk so much easier knowing he has a quality partner.
dyk I am sick, tired and sick of being sick and tired
dyk but at least my hands have mostly stopped shaking
dyk apparently, she was in meetings all morning and had just gotten the executive summary my (step)dad sought to provide
dyk usual guy stuff: there was an accident involving a bus and some scaffolding, he was already released from the hospital and he went home.
dyk I told my mom to just delete the email; I hope she follows my advice
dyk no mom (not even of the step variety) should see the pics of that accident and imagine her child in the middle of it.
