Does this plan require a lot of exercise?

Does this plan require a lot of exercise? I'm just not great with exercise and would like to know what kind of things you do and how much/how often.

Try reading the South Beach Diet book; you could probably even check it out from the library.
The one summer I was walking a lot (2 - 3 miles per day, 5 days/wk, is a lot for me) I lost a ton of weight quickly. Otherwise the loss is slow, but still doable. Nowadays I get in the occasional weekly walk pushing a stroller, but it's mostly chasing around two active kids. I need to prioritize exercise more.
