Are We There Yet Friday?

Glad this week is coming to an end!  I have three clients this morning, wishful thinking that I'll get to parkour but probably not.  And, if my daughter gets home in time from theater, I'll go to silks but then, she's not supposed to get home by then. Ugh.  So tomorrow night, I'm supposed to go out w/ parkour people, mostly the young American Ninja Warrior guys in their 20's to do parkour outside, picnic and then we're going to see Brick Mansions.  Not sure it's going to happen but I'm wondering how this became my life...And, wondering how I didn't discover this when I was young and single!  The funny thing is during ski season I hang out w/ guys for the most part because they ski at my level, other than the women's group. One night I was at the tavern before clinic and it was me and about half a dozen guys.  Again, how did this become my life?  I'm the "hang out in step class w/ only women" type person!

Jean, I think you shed your hang-out-in-step-class-with-only-women persona long ago.  Have fun!

Talked to the doc yesterday.  The good news is that I don't have pneumonia.  The bad news is that I have nodule on my lung and they want a CAT scan.  It could be nothing or it could be valley fever (which is kind of a big deal here).  I'm hopeful to hear from the radiology place today so I can go get it done.  If I can't do it today, I'm going to put it off for a week because my friend arrives Monday and we'll be at the AZ regional most of next week.

I am feeling better but it's moving at a snail's pace.  I would probably feel better faster if I took the prednisone pack they gave me but I'm resisting.  I'm so unhappy when I'm on it that at this point, it's worth it for things to take longer than for me to be a raging b!tch.  And with my friend's arrival and the event next week, it would be terrible timing to take it now.

Not much on the schedule today except work and maybe getting that scan done.

I feel so beat up from my allergies...like I am sick-sick-sick.  :(  This is the wrong part of the country for me to be living in!  Work today, perhaps yoga tonight.  Jean, your life sounds awesome...enjoy each moment.  GR, yuck on the nodule...I hope it is not serious!  Karla, you look like a young teenager, and your running times sound like you are a young teenager!  SJ, I want your no-work life.  ELC, I want to live in your neck of the woods...or do i?

Jean, the hang out in tavern with 20 somethings men sounds much more fun than the hang out with only women. lol

Gym, I saw where you might have Valley Fever. Many years ago my mother had some sort of lung fungus that sounds very familiar to the Valley Fever (and it might have been). It took a while for her to kick it. She was on all kinds of medications but she did get over it and hasn't had it since.

It is warm and rainy today and it is supposed to eventually sunny up here. It doesn't matter to me if it rains or not this weekend because I have housework to do. Monday is mine and hubby's 28th wedding anniversary so I am thinking of having a nice dinner on Sunday. I have no idea what to get him. Did I tell you girls that we got each other the same card last year? I spend hours pouring over cards in two different shops and he runs in and grabs the first thing he sees. Typical!

No exercise today. I'm taking off today because I am going to do a long run tomorrow morning (8 miles is what I am planning but that might change depending on weather). My sister wants me to do a cross fit class before our run but I'm not sure I am that motivated. I like to sleep in on Saturdays and then drink coffee. Lots of coffee. lol

lol Fresh, believe me-I do NOT look like a teenager.  If you could see me in real life you'd notice I was "weather beaten". lol

GR, being the hypochondriac I am, I'm surprised I haven't heard of Valley Fever and had to look it up. Hope it's not that but something simple. I'm hoping also that it's a good sign that you're starting to feel better.

FSN, sorry about the allergies, too!  It's really bad in my area, too, as beautiful as everything is. I agree Karla looks so young and has the energy to match.

The funny thing Karla is that I have to remind myself I'm the old lady in the group!  I'm like their mom. Although, the ski group is older.  We skiers are just an old group!  That's really awesome that you and your husband got the same card for each other. I love that you're on the same wavelength.  I like to give experiences as gifts these days.  My husband's favorite was a NASCAR drive around the track. But, he also liked making beer, doing parkour.  I think that's more memorable than things.

SJ, how is the not working going?  Do weekends now feel redundant?

Jean, not work is great so far, although I continue to not accomplish much. I have done a few things on my list - now I have to find the list and cross them off. Have I said that between now and July I am going to four graduations (well three, one is for twins)', a wedding, a family reunion, and to France with my brother and his 'framily'? My younger brother is getting married on the same weekend my oldest nephew graduates from college..in two separate states 150 miles apart. We are a little annoyed that the wedding was planned for this weekend - we knew there would be a conflict - but the groomzilla was determined...yep,my brother is the driving f

Looks like your post was cut off but it sounds like you're super busy in a good way!  What a great time of year to be off of work, too.
