I feel out of sorts.  Jean, you asked what "yoga swing" was a few days back.  It was that I need to get back into the swing of doing yoga more frequently.  :O

I feel like I have SO MUCH administrative work to do...like I am on that treadmill where I keep getting closer to falling off the back of it!  Today is catch up day, and I teach linedancing tonight with a bottle of wine, and a some friendly chit-chat.  :D  Tomorrow, I have a massage scheduled after work.  :D  :D  This weekend I go visit my mom and daughter, and I am taking them both to a fundraiser for my highschool where the college chancellor (asian female which is a rarety) will be speaking.  I am hoping that the three generations of women associate with the college (me, my mom and daughter) can meet her face-to-face, if we have the opportunity!

It's a beautiful, sunny day, I have my allergy meds in hand, and I am ready to take on the day.  BOOYAH!

FSN, allergies are really bad here too.  Even though I'm on so much plus allergy shots, I still have some nasty post nasal drip.

Karla, Vegas is awesome but summer is not the time to visit.

I started feeling nauseous again yesterday so I went to the doctor.  She thinks it's a GI bug that's going around but took some blood to test it.  I spent the remainder of the day running errands with OP.

My day today isn't terribly busy.  I'm working this morning, have a client early afternoon and then going to see Ellie Goulding in concert tonight.  I will probably get my workout in there.

LOL, I thought you were doing aerial yoga or something like that. My silks teacher teaches aerial yoga.

I keep trying yoga. I can't get into it. I seriously look at my watch every few minutes and can't believe only xxx minutes has passed.  I'm not sure, this many times later, if I should just give it up.  I do need flexibility work, though.  I'm going to parkour today. I've decided that when I have munchies, I need to take the puppy for a walk, especially in this weather. I'm so glad I don't have allergies because it would be miserable. I chipped a tooth this morning but it's only a tiny piece I can barely feel w/ my tongue. I'm not sure if it's worth going in for now.

LOL, fsn, I had to laugh about your teaching line dancing w/ a bottle of wine!  Hope it's a good dancer!

GR, sounds like your doctor is on top of your ailments!  I hope they figure out what it is.  Have fun tonight!

Fresh I took this past Saturday and worked on paperwork for everything I have to do all day. It felt good to get totally caught up.

Gym, maybe we should rethink and visit Vegas in the fall. I didn't consider the heat. If it is going to scorching then I'd rather be sitting with my feet in the water with a breeze blowing.

Jean, I wonder if you just haven't had a good Yoga instructor. I didn't like it at first either but after several tries realized the instructor makes all of the difference.

I ran 5 miles this morning and felt great. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, it was 50 degrees and I just jogged along loving the scenery. I saw wild turkeys, bunnies and deer everywhere. Ahhhh-my soul feels at peace right now. :-)

That's what I thought but I can't tell you how many yoga classes I've taken over the past 25+ years, with instructors people rave about. When I did those private pilates/yoga sessions w/ my daughter, I got a little more out of it but overall, that slow movement, sun salutation to down dog, warrior 1 to warrior 2 to reverse warrior triangle, etc. just isn't fun. I've tried different types, too, like Bikram.  Maybe I need frenetic movement in my life...

This is perfect running weather!  I'm wondering if I could do run/walk w/ my 8 month old puppy dog. We did a 3+ mile walk this morning and she loved it.

Phoenix and Vegas summers are very similar. Of course, if you're a pool person, there's some pretty swanky pools in Vegas! Rates tend to be cheaper in the summertime. If you do go in the fall, consider that weekdays tend to be significantly cheaper than weekends. And if you haven't been in some time, Vegas is expensive.

FSN, II bet anything is better if you teach with a bottle of wine. Jean, maybe you should invent Swing yoga....yoga done on a swing, moving frantically while saying oooommmmmm. GR, ugh on the nausea...could it be related to the antibiotics you have been taking? Karla, how is your granddaughter? I haven't been to the gym since Monday...I went to a United Way meeting yesterday with an awesome speaker about literacy. I am planning to get involved with their initiative around childhood literacy. Did you know that a part of literacy is talking to children so that when they are learning to sound out words, they actually know the words? I see so many parents with their children who are playing with their phones when they could be engaging with the child...I bet they don't know how important just talking is...you don't even need a book...I am fascinated by this concept...although not sure what to do about it. Only two more days until retirement...actually one and a half because I will be done at noon Friday...
