According to your last post, Jean, it's been 45 minutes, but I don't see your Thursday post?!

Ok, I woke up HAPPY after a late evening of dancing, conversation, and laughing with my girlfriend.  Dancing seems to be my "drug of choice."  :D  Lots of endorphins last night!!!  It is gloomy, rainy, cloudy, cold, wet yuck outside.  I have work today, and perhaps I will train the dog tonight.  I am taking another day to contemplate Maui activities before I book/pay for them all.  It's gonna be a great trip!

Karla, I am sending prayers your way.  Jean, what fun activities do you have in store for today?  GR, is your health on an incline...I hope?!  SJ, I hope you cherish every moment of your busy graduation/wedding weekend with your family.  EL, CA sounds like TX...too hot to be outside!  Is it usually that hot this time of year?  What do you do to workout when it's that hot?  I think I would take up a watersport.

Three things I am grateful for - my ability to make new friends (like Forrest Gump, I find that "...life is like a box of chocolates...", "starting over" after an argument, each and every day in this life...it is a gift to experience the many joys on this earth.  :D  MAKE IT A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!

I don't have to go anywhere today which is really nice.  I'm working and planning to do another cardio workout.

Karla, hope the baby is okay.  Let us know how she's doing.

FSN, awesome about the dancing.  I'm glad you found your drug.

My granddaughter is doing good today. Her surgery was rather rough but she lived through it and is now on her way to recovery. Because of the nature of the surgery, however, she will be in the hospital a little longer than normal. She face timed me last night for a few minutes (we weren't allowed in to see her) and she was talking just fine so I am doing better with it today.

I stress ran yesterday. I wasn't going to run for a few more days but we had to wait so long for any kind of information that I ran a few miles on the tread while I was waiting. My leg feels fine today and no more sore than it was yesterday so I am happy about that.

We are taking my husband to get fitted for shoes this weekend and he says he is going to start walking/jogging with me and our daughters so that is great news for us. Fresh, if he does join us, this will be one of the only "activities" we do together. ;-)

I have to work tonight so I'll probably hit the gym and do a few miles on the eliptical/treadmill.

Thank you girls for all the positive thoughts. It really helps during these hideous stressful times.

SJ, I might have missed this somewhere but how many languages do you speak? I find it so interesting that you travel the world!

Our computer is on the fritz and I'm on the basement one.  I taught a BOSU intensity class this morning and am headed to silks soon w/ my niece. I think our puppy has patellar luxation (knee cap that pops out of joint). When she walks, she suddenly will pick up one leg, walk three legged for a few seconds and then continue as if nothing has happened. She will tear around the yard w/ no problems after.  I need to call the vet but I hate things like this because there are different approaches, surgery or not.  But, I will bring her in. Poor thing. At least it doesn't seem to cause any pain.

Karla, so glad to hear about your granddaughter..I will hold good thoughts....make sure you take care of yourself...remember what they say on the plane about securing your mask first...FSN, I thought of you today while walking to the gym. I cut through Mass General Hospital to get there, and I saw a volunteer with what had to be a therapy dog...I wonder where they were going but I bet wherever it was, the people they visited were happy to see them. Jean, I hope the dog is ok...not necessarily so in your case, but it does seem like dog breeding must have issues these days because so many people(or their dogs) seem to have problems with joints now. GR, enjoy your 'stay home' day. I have no new wedding rants today. But I need to get my act together and write out the reading I am doing (Maya Angelou) and narrow in in shoes, purse, etc...I speak French but only in the present and future tenses, and can read and ask basic questions in Spanish. I know @ 100 words in German, and a smattering if Swedish and Polish. I am a good mimic, so I pick up the accent well...so the words I know sound like I know more than I do. I was so busy ranting and rejoicing yesterday that I didn't report that I lifted for shoulders, bis, tris and did 12 minutes on the stairs (plus abs)...today I went to Zumba....

Not that it matters for us since we just had our puppy neutered but they recommend that dogs w/ this condition not reproduce because it is a genetic thing, common for small dogs.  I guess it makes sense since a lot of people who intentionally breed dogs do it for show. The irony of our puppy is that I had wanted a large calm dog and ours is a terrier/chihuahua mix (we think), either all out full of energy running all over the place or she crashes on the couch. As my friend said, she's just like you! Yeah, and now she has the bad knee to match,

lol on the pup mimicking your ailments/personality.  Does that mean I am a lethargic all-energy or fully-relaxing, slow-to-move person, whereas previously (older dog), I was a high-strung, loyal, slightlly crazed person?  Ok, I'm both.  Maybe I have split personality disorder.  lol.

SJ, so many languages?!  That's great!  Do you think in English, or do you ever think in the other language?  Just curious.  Karla, that is GREAT that your gd pulled through.  I pray that was the last emergency situation.  That is so much stress for your entire family!  Jean, I love all of your fitness throughout the day.

I mostly dream in English but I have dreamed in French...and once when iwas in Krakow, and very jet lagged, I think I dreamed in Polish to a Zumba beat, but I kept thinking 'I don't know Polish, what am I dreaming?'

Do you get your learned languages mixed up? I find I mix up Italian and French all the time. It was funny in Italian class when someone would speak in French and it would take a minute for people to notice since we all also know some French.
