everyone is on vacation on Friday...

or, so it seems.  Even many of my customers are on vacation right now!  So much turmoil in the world.  Too many fb friends are posting too many negative things.  I just want to see what is positive because I have enough sadness in my own life, thank you very much.

Despite the family rift with my one brother, my other brother and I feel an obligation to support the living twin brother-nephew.  BUT, I also want to visit my mother who no longer travels.  As usual, I had to be the one to tell her the bad news.  She didn't take it well.  :(  I am hoping she does not contact my abusive brother who will eventuallly use this to hurt her.  He is a narcissistic, abusive, mean man.  C'est la vie, as in A Separate Peace.

Work today, cowboy boot shopping tonight, followed by a phenomenal dinner downtown this evening.  I may even do some early morning yoga.  I was told I will be sore from the massage last night...the swimming (and/or life stress) really knots up my muscles!

Sorry to hear about all the turmoil in your life! The worst is that much of it is drama created.  What kind of negative things are people posting on FB and can you block their posts?  I seem to have been friended by quite a few mombies and I get tired of some of their posts. I love reading about family and children, don't get me wrong. But the incessant, "I'm so proud and in awe of my children" posts get old.

I had the best time in my silks class yesteday and feel like I learned so much. This is what has happened in the past when I thought of stopping these private lessons. I'm learning so much about my body limitations/weaknesses, though!  I am really loving what I'm doing these days.  So much fun that I wake up and am excited for what class I will be doing. It's the first time in a long time that I've felt that way about workouts.

Where are you going to eat? I've watched so many shows about the food scene in Chicago. I think I need to visit just to eat!  I should start planning now because I've heard some of them start booking a year in advanced. I'd love to go to Alinea, any of Rick Bayless's places, Stephanie Izard's restaurant, and a host of food trucks, hole in the walls.  I can't imagine living there--my food bill and waist would be astronomical!
