Feeling good Tuesday

I had the most fun at aerial silks last night!  I feel like I'm finally back in aerial silks shape and I'm not limited by exhaustion.  We're getting the rain fsn and karla have had--for the next few days, it's supposed to be nonstop so less dog walking. So, this is a question I had posted on FB but it feels like I walk my dog constantly!  My husband does a quick 10 minute walk early. Mid morning, I do a long walk from 1-2 hours, and then I get in 3-4 more short 15-20 minute walks.  As my sister and I were saying that makes her in better shape so she can go longer?  I was joking I should just overfeed her so she's too fat to want to move (I'm kidding, I would never do that). The cute thing is w/ all that BOSU balance training, walking on her hind legs is a piece of cake.

I'm getting a massage this morning, much needed. Oh, I finally decided to quit that new gym and signed the forms yesterday. So end of May, my membership ends.  Ironically last night, the place where I teach step/boot camp sent out an email that says they're going to stop offering fitness classes at the end of June. We all knew it was a matter of time because it's been a money loss for them the past few years. So, that's it for my teaching group fitness. I'm not sure if I want to try picking up classes elsewhere but I think I'm done w/ it.  I'll probably sub here and there at most. I'm not sure if I'll work out today. I might catch parkour conditioning but I might just take a break since I'm getting the massage.

I'm here so I thought I'd sneak in and say hi...

No CAT results yet.  Brazil arrived yesterday and we've been having a blast.  We had a hot dog fail as I didn't realize the gourmet hot dog place was closed on Mondays.  Boo!  But we chose another of our favorite local haunts.  Poor guy was exhausted after an overnight flight but he was a trooper.  We had a lot of fun trying on costume shop stuff and we got a couple of things.  After we got home, he showered and crashed for a couple of hours.  We had a lovely dinner out last night with friends.

I've been a little stressed about going to this event because I don't feel ready (been sick as you all know and that's taken a toll on my mood).  However, Brazil and a number of my friends who are going are super silly and I think that might be exactly what I need.

We are shopping like mad today.  I need supplies and he needs supplies.  If I don't make it back here, you all have a lovely week.

GR, have FUN!  Jean, I unsuccessfully tried to post on your comment yesterday.  Some of my friends walk their dogs on the treadmill.  It takes some training, but your dog seems like a quick learn.  Do you have a treadmill?  Some dogs have more energy than others.  My mastiff has very little energy, but my boxer could play frisbee 24/7 if I had the energy.  :O  I don't walk my dogs...I llet them out back in your fenced in yard.  At our other house, we had the electric fence, and they were both happy.

It's a good day, I think.  So it looks like the new company I work for will be bought out by an even bigger company...it's been all over the news for the last few weeks.  :(  :)  "The only constant is change."  If I get to keep my job (rumor has it that I will have to interview for it), great, and if I don't, perhaps I will get a nice package?  For some reason, I really don't care...I could take it or leave it.  :D  At least, that is how I feel today.

Karla, congratulations on your anniversary.  SJ, I am loving your life!  Enjoy!

Early morning yoga, work, and perhaps linedancing tonight.  I painted last night, and LOVED it.  The class is a group for great people.  I think I am really going to enjoy this.  Make it a GREAT day, everyone!

Jean, your dog walking sounds great. I wish I could get my mother to walk her dog. It might do everyone some good. lol

Gym-OH NO on the hot dog fail. If it hadn't been raining so hard yesterday I would have grilled out hotdogs after reading about them several times yesterday. lol

It's warm and sunny here right now but more storms are moving in later this afternoon. I lifted weights last night and I can't run for another day or two until the toe is healed so I think I might take this opportunity to clean my fridge and cabinets tonight. Hubby has to work and it's going to rain so there isn't much else to do.

GR, maybe you can hit the hot dog place today? Brazil might be more up for it after a long flight yesterday.

FSN, I've seen the dogs walking on treadmills on the Dog Whisperer. I could use one today! She's running around like crazy. But, I don't have one.

Karla, you're always so busy! I need to do the refrigerator and cabinets but can't get my act together. What I really should do is clean out my closet.  We used to move every few years being in the military but now we stay put and it's so easy to accumulate.

Karla, didn't you learn your housework lesson? Those frozen vegetables are dangerous...Jean, maybe you could just build a giant hamster wheel for the dog,,,seems safer than a treadmill and you could probably incorporate it into silks or parkour somehow....FSN, I think just being good with whatever happens is a great plan...no matter what happens, you really can't control much so letting it go is very zen...Gymrat, the only two things on my trainer's 'never eat' list are hotdogs and donuts...if I went to someone's house and they were serving them, I would eat them to be polite,(and probably enjoy them) but otherwise, I respect that rule....I knew that eating would be the toughest part of being home all day, and it is...and he called me on it last night....I am someone who really needs a plan and routine for eating because on my own, I would eat 90 percent carbs....I am frustrated with myself because I know I do the best with high protein, lots of veggies and fruit, limited carbs...one definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect different results..another should be to not do what you know works and being surprised with the results. I was giving him the 'I'll start on May 1' story and I realized that that just added two days of bad eating...so today I added protein to my yogurt, had an apple, took a protein shake to the gym for post workout...none of these things are hard or unpleasant, I just don't bother to do them...but I hope I am back on track....I swam 100 laps today but it is cold here...so my walk was short...so I am running in place to make 10000 steps today...
