It is pouring rain outside and COLD.  Move over moody Monday, because I have far too much to do today for this weather to get in my way!    I am back to my yoga routine, and it feels really good to be strong!  I have work today, and my painting class starts tonight.  yea". Something fun and new.  I also started the  CYA  actitivities since my manager is out of control. It feels good to have a plan of action in place, should I need it.  Today is my rest day.  What are you all up to?

Good luck in dealing w/ your boss! It's beautiful here today--I love how everything is in bloom, although it's a killer for allergies.  I had a fun/odd night hanging out w/ the young ninjas on Saturday, who are really nice (I told my husband they must have good relationships w/ their moms because they're so comfortable w/ older women) but spontaneous and, well, just young. Brick Mansions was what you'd expect but fun for the parkour. There's a scene where David Bell (traceur0 backs up, measures by steps, before he does a jump across a building into a window. I was sitting next to one of the instructors who had just had us do it in class the same way, so I had to say, "Hey, you do know what you're talking about!!!"  So, tonight is aerial silks. I still don't have a planned workout routine but I did join the parkour gym, unlimited use, for the next six months because they're having a special. When I watch movies like that, I also think I should learn krav maga. I really liked the class I tried out a couple of years ago. If only I had more energy in the evenings because that's when classes are.

FSN, it's always good to have a CYA plan, no matter what the situation.  I remember my mom telling me about that when I was very young.  It of course wasn't terribly meaningful until several years later.

Jean, I'm glad you had fun with the parkour ninjas.

Ughgh.  Woke up in the middle of the night because my feet slid into something wet.  I woke up quickly and was able to scoot away from the unexplained wetness.  I did go back to sleep but my feet wandered over there again.  Kitty puked in the middle of the night.  And DH is still sleeping so I built a little fort around it with the tissue box and my pillow so he doesn't make the bed.

Brazil friend arrives today.  Very much looking forward to seeing him.  We're taking him to lunch at this place that serves hot dogs (they have every kind you'd want) on naan.  NAAN.  It's sheer brilliance.  Afterward, going to a costume store, over to OP's to visit his dogs and the next door goats, back home to chill at my house for a while, and then out to a fancy dinner with a group.  Tomorrow, we run around, get my injections and shop, shop, shop.  We're leaving Wednesday morning so I won't be here until next week.

I think I'm getting slowly better.  This bronchitis is hanging on though.  Hoping to hear from the doc today about the CAT scan...  You all have a good week.  Karla, keep up with your carbs.  Jean, continue jumping off things.  FSN, paint and dance!  Happy, do something ridiculous for the simple reason that you can.  Cool

Yep-it is raining cats and dogs here too. We had huge thunderstorms for what seemed like hours this morning and I loved it. There was nothing severe (they say that is coming later today), just good old thunder and lightening. I love to lay in bed early in the morning and hear a good storm.

Today is mine and hubby's 28th anniversary. He got me a few new workout outfits ....

And I got him this really cool stack of post it notes (he's a post it note freak). We did get each other different cards this year.

I am not running again for a few days as I got a running injury this weekend. I was running the vacuum cleaner on the furniture and dropped it on my toe! lol I have a significant toenail injury at the moment.

Fresh, I am so sorry about your boss. You are doing good to be able to stay calm.

Gym, glad to know that your bronchitis is better.

Jean, I often wish my cats would take walks with me. I'd love to have a companion like your dog to roam around a few miles a day.

SJ, I've heard a lot of people say they get so busy when retired they don't know how they ever fit a job into their lives. Are you feeling any of that yet? lol

GR, what condiments do they put on hot dogs on naan? I would love some tatziki or something like that. I heard about this place in Alameda, CA and have to try it out when we visit:

There is a lot more potential to hot dog based foods that we think!  Hope kitty is okay.

Karla, happy anniversary!  Those are really cute outfits your husband bought you.  Good taste (in clothes and women!).  Hope your toe gets better soon.  I was talking to a woman who broke her ankle doing parkour and the orderly told her most women he sees our age hurt themselves w/ the vacuum cleaner.  Cleaning is dangerous!  I'm going to stick to parkour.

Karla, super cute outfits!  You look like you should be in a workout video.

Jean, they do a lot of "specialty" toppings but my personal favorite is the one that has barbecue sauce, smoked gouda, peanut butter and cracker jax.  I know it sounds awful but it is tasty good.

Jean, would you believe the few urgent care visits for injuries I have had to have in my life all were from housework injuries? lol

And man I love hotdogs! IMO there is nothing like a smoked dog with chili, cheese and onions. MMMMMM! Chocolate ice cream for desert please.

Karla, cute clothes...housework seems hazardous...be like jean, just vault over the dining room table! Jean, glad you had fun with the younguns....did my suggestion that you listen to KT Oslin's song 'Younger men have started to catch my eye' get eaten on Friday? Half my post posted twice...two halves did not make a whole...GR, you really do love that cat...have fun on your adventure...FSN, everyone in your company must be crazed by the acquisition rumors...organizational dysfunction is exhausting...I am starting to get requests from people to be a reference for them...so I know a lot of people want to leave where I was working, and others are just hoping to hold on for a few more years until they can retire...so sad that corporate America is so out of tune with workers...I had a lovely weekend and day although I can't tell you much of what I did...Zumba Saturday, swam. 100 laps on Sunday, today went to Pilates, 20 minutes on bike, Lifting for chest/back, abs, ran two miles in 27:19. I walked 10000 plus steps each day, but it had to run in place last night to get there....oh, and I am enmeshed in basketball even though the Celtics are not playing...left on my own, I stay up until 2:30 and sleep until 10...I have always been a night person and I am indulging it...

I'll have to check out that song! The funny thing is that it's not even that with these guys--they're incredibly fit and they are cute but they could be my kids!  I love watching them do parkour, just as I love watching the Brazilian zumba guys dance but none of them really catch my eye in that way.

The sad thing is that corporate America has been doing that for decades now. When I left my first job, I can't tell you the number of people who told me they envied me.  This was back in the early 90's. And, it's gotten worst and worst.
