It feels like Friday 'cuz I'm so tired!  :)  And, I am relieved that court, for now, is over.  The original courtdate is postponed, and the lawyer I met with said that she has to review my entire file before she can make a determination that she will take on my case.  Whhhaaattt?!  Well, I did ask her if she could commit certain behaviors to me, but she said those were all expected, and then I explained that my previous lawyers did not meet those expectations.  It was her explanation that she has associates that do the more menial tasks, but that she would always represent me at hearings.  The other lawyers I had did not have associates to delegate to.  I really like her, and hope she takes my case.  I also learned from the admin (it pays to talk to everyone, doesn't it?!) that the judge used to by a partner in this law firm.   :O  That could be helpful for me.

I was out until 11PM dancing last night!  SO MUCH FUN!  So I think today is a rest day.  My feet ache.  I wonder If I can put orthotics in my cowboy boots.  :P  So, today, I am grateful for my ability to pick up basic choreography quickly, having legs and feet that work so that I can dance, finding a new venue to llined  SJance at!  Dancing makes all of my problems disappear and be replaced with joy!  :D

Now, back to work...which pays the bills!  SJ, enjoy all of the wining and dining.  Karla, I am so happy your gd rebounds so quickly, and I am "with you" on the allergies.  GR, thank you for sharing your comments on your mother...it makes me feel better to not be "alone."  El, hope you are getting your dd's schedules worked out so that you can work out!  And I hope that Jean is having a vunderbaar time this week.

I'm in San Diego. I didn't feel the quake but supposedly some people in the north part of the county (about 40 miles north of me) did feel it. We have relatives that live in Santa Monica and Echo Park and they didn't feel it so I don't know how that works. There are faults all over the state and some are very long; a geologist on tv said the one from last week's event was a short one just in L.A.

We desperately need rain, we only got about .25" from the latest "storm" which could be the last one of the season. By mid morning the sun came out but it was very windy (which sucks on a bike) so I opted for a walk instead. I walked to the bank (about 1.5 miles round trip) then kept going for a total of 45 minutes walking. I walked a different route than I usually drive and it was interesting to get a good look at the neighborhood from the slower, closer perspective.

Retire by the ocean...there was a story/video in the NYTimes yesterday about a neurologist who did a life-180 and now spends all day rollerblading on the boardwalk in one of the beach communities here. Its called "Slomo" if you want to check it out.

ELC, Oops.  I am blaming my failing memory.  Sorry 'bout that.  Rain?!  You guys need, that, yes?  Are you in CA?  Did you feel the quake?  I worry for my relatives out there after that big one around Northridge.  Doesn't that fault line fun along the entire west coastline, including WA?   Quakes in the west, tornadoes in the middle, hurricanes in the SE.  Where oh where to retire by the ocean with good weather, with the least risk?!

FSN, I agree...this has been a long week. I cried twice yesterday....one of the partners in our firm, someone I really respect and actually helped train when he started many years ago, came to my desk to say good bye to me. That was very Meaningful because he is not a 'people person' in any way...and he said the nicest things...and someone who I worked on on the best project ever called (he works in another state) and that was very emotional too....I know I made the best decision, and I knew the goodbyes would be hard...and they are...I went to the gym at noon time, ran a very crappy mile and a quarter, then lifted and did abs. I was feeling very anxious, but after the workout, I felt calmer...and I have times for the rest of the week for lifting around the farewell tour...my trainer is so awesome....it would be easy to get off track this week, and i can feel him holding me from going over the edge...FSN, I guess it's good your court date is postponed. And glad you went dancing. I love Zumba which is like line dancing, but I am so bad at it...I do miss disco....Karla, glad your granddaughter bounced back but I am still angry at the emergency room doctor. When my brother was little, he had a stomach ache and the doctor put my mother off...she knew something was wrong, but not what to do, and she called an older cousin for advice - which was to go to the emergency room and refuse to leave until she was satisfied..four hours later, they took out his appendix....mothers know their children...doctors should listen to them....GR, I don't know if I like the kind of massage that wears me out...after my last one, which I knew was 'deep' and I could have asked for less pressure, but it felt good at the time,,,,but I felt like my back was bruised for a week afterwards....ELC, hope for some sunshine and a clear track for you!

FSN, that's great that you can dance away your cares, at least for a while. Hope things work out with the new lawyer. BTW, I think you are confusing me with Arryl, she has young dd's. My kids are 28 & 30 and live in other cities, I can't blame them anymore for me not working out!

No bike today, its been raining and the track is dangerously slippery when wet.

FSN, glad you got to blow off some steam last night.  And I certainly don't see why you couldn't put inserts into your cowboy boots.

I'm working this morning and then I've got a client this afternoon.  My massage yesterday wore me out... I slept like a rock.  Running errands and likely taking a rest day.
