I had such a great time at line dancing last night. The one advanced dancers showed up again and he let me on the two-step, advanced moves on the cha-cha, swing, and waltz. The line dance instructor is leading a cruise next year, and I am contemplating whether I would pay for me and my girlfriend, since I know she could not afford it. She has been my line dance friend for the last nine years. She is led a hard life, and in spite of some major turmoil, she always tries to do good for others. I just don't know if that would change our friendship in that money issues can become obstacles.

so, I found a dance studio, that I may check out for private lessons in Ballroom. I would really like to learn the intricacies of the correct "Form."  I would just have to make that a priority, but I feel still a little scatterbrained with all of the pressures of work and life balance. Who knows? Maybe I could do it during lunch on a particular day.

work today, then I get my hair done tonight. I am tired of long here. All I do is put it in the French braid your ponytail every day. I think I look better with shorter hair, my husband really likes longhair. What is it with guys in that generation who like longhair?!

Fresh, your line dancing sounds like so much fun. I wish there was something like that around here. I'd love to give it a try.

My husband likes 80s hair with perms and hairspray, etc. lol I pretty much wear mine straight and shoulder length. Most of the time it is up in a clip or ponytail. Over the course of 30 years I've spent most of the time with short hair and I guess I prefer it long.

I have a 7 mile run for today and I'll be doing that later this afternoon with my sister. It's going to be a hot one but we are trying to vary our training times just in case.

Oh, my nephew is okay. They are on lockdown and have no internet privs right now but otherwise he is okay.

I went to bed early last night and it was glorious.  And then I spent an hour this morning reading.   Delicious.

Fairly quiet day today.  Freelance stuff this morning and then seeing my client this afternoon.  Probably a rest day today.

I am letting my hair grow, but I find I put it up most of the time so I do wonder what the point is of growing it...but it is past the yucky stage and I don't want to go back...the general that was killed yesterday was the same rank as my brother...I tried to call him last night because 'it's a small army' and I want to see if he is upset about this , but we didn't connect. When my brother was in Iraq, he tried to reassure us that higher ranking people were safer...in the first pictures he sent, I thought at first he had gained a lot of weight...of course, he was wearing body armor. And there was one soldier with him in most pictures, and that was his bodyguard...neither of these reassured me. I wondered last night if the general who died had sisters who had worried for him like I did for my brother. I know they will say 'he died doing what he loved' but I find no comfort in that. Karla, I am glad your nephew is safe...and congrats on your son's engagement - always nice to have happy events ahead! FSN, I think you could offer to pay foryour friend's dancing lessons if you phrase it as not wanting to do it alone. GR, what are you reading? I am having trouble sticking to a book this summer...I am going to the gym in a while...I ran one crappy mile last night after lifting, and I am hoping to run a better one today. I plan to make peach pie today but realized I need a disposable pie plate o am hoping they sell them at Whole Foods....

I just finished reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.  It was really good and beautifully written.  I have a bunch of books on my Kindle and not sure what I'll read next.  I try to alternate fiction and non-fiction.
