I need a pep-me-up right about now.  Have you ever had a to-do-list of about 1,000, and you just don't feel like getting going?!  Perhaps a frappaccino will snap me out of it!  Hah!  I have so much work to do, but I have a strong urge to do something creative like quilt or paint.  Those types of activities sooth my soul.  Aaaahhh...at least I have linedancing to look forward to tonight.  And, I await a response for a massage tonight, too.  :D  My shoulder and jaw are aching like crazy.

Happy Early Valentines Day.  Does anyone have fun plans for the day/weekend?

FSN, yeah, been there many times.  I find that if I am too busy/stressed, I start "shutting down."  Please take care of yourself!

Happy, to answer your question from yesterday, the pool noodles will be on display at an art festival in Arizona and then they will go to the Burning Man art festival in Nevada late summer.  After that, they'll come live in Arizona until festival season starts again.  He's planning for it to be at least a two year project.  After that, who knows.

No workout for me today.  I'm writing this morning and then I have a session this afternoon.

Jean, welcome back from the slopes...it sounds like the southern weather is really bad today. Hope Karla has power! I am of two minds about tomorrow's storm...if it snows one flake before I leave for work, I am staying home,but I have a dentist appointment tomorrow and if we are getting freezing rain, walking there will not be fun..plus there is gym uncertainty....the gym is all that is keeping me sane lately...that and the people at work who areon the sane side of the craziness...the phrase of the day tody was 'you couldn't make this stuff up'. I am working towards retirement so I have nothing to gain except the pleasure of doing a good job, but I feel sorry for the people who feel trapped in the craziness....Gymrat, how will the pool noodle art project be transported? Does it ave to be reassembled at each location? FSN, I have no Valentine's plans. Last year when I w in Krakow I had dinner with a visiting colleague on Valentine's Day and it was the first Valentine's date in more than 20 years...and I am pretty sure he is gay....not that work colleagues usually discuss stuff. Like that...but it was a lovely dinner....I went to the gym tonight. Foam rolling, five minutes on bike, lifting or legs, abs. I came home and made Swedish meatballs. My mother made them 10 pounds at a time, and it was a long proposition. She mixed them the night before, usually on a Saturday, and then fried them on Sunday...it took hours to roll and fry them. I bought hamburg on sale Sunday and I had ground pork in the freezer so I decided to make them during the week. I only had about two and. Half pounds of meat and it didn't take that long but it seemed a wierd thing to do on a week night. Some activities really make me missy mother, and making meatballs is one of them...we would have three frying pans going in her little kitchen and it was just a warm, happy time...even smelled good. Next week will mark the third anniversary of her death, and she is never far from my mind.

Oh, SJ, and I was thinking a LOT about my dad yesterday, too, and some of the really fun times I had with him.  As someone told me, "you never get OVER the grief, you just work through it."  I try to focus on the positives, which, in turn, gives me strength to try to model my behavior on the good behavior that my dad had. :)  {{{hugs}}}

FSN -thanks. Yes, I try to remember the good times, and how lucky I was to have my mother so long...and to still have my Dad. So many people are not that lucky
