Any luck to detox water drinks?

Hi all! I've been looking for alternatives to plain water (I hate water) and I've come across a lot of detox water drinks, like water with strawberries/lemons/limes in it. Anyone had any luck with water like that doing anything other than quenching your thirst?

Here's an example: http://www.fitsugar.com/Detox-Lemon-Cucumber-Ginger-Mint-Water-25695903

Just wondering if it's more for taste than anything or if anyone saw actual benefits.

Thanks!!

Water is water basic For that reason most people hate the stuff The one thing that is good for themselves.. I myself love water but that took a while to do.. I use to use flavorings to get over the hump of plain water I have made cucumber water with a little lemon in it.. * but in the beginning you should try the little packets of flavoring kool aid to help you overcome the plain water.. I also love my basic water with ice in it.. I love experimenting with things.. I also have put fruit in my glass.. lemon is one that I love the most.. I now dilute the soda water with plain water so its not so sweet with the sweetners they have in them..

Some people swear by lemon juice to "detox", like drinking a glass of water with the juice of one fresh lemon, first thing every morning. I happen to like plain water but sometimes I'll sqeeze in a wedge of lemon or lime, or drop in a slice of cucumber. I think that any detox effects from a small amount of herbs, fruits, or veggies would be pretty minimal.

Have you experimented with different waters? We have a Brita filter pitcher but I've noticed that the different taps in our house produce different tasting water. I don't like some bottled waters because they have removed all of the minerals that give it flavor. The ones that say they're from a spring tend to taste better to me. Or ones like Smart Water with added electrolytes usually taste okay.

I was just going to suggest smart water as well. I happen to like it (it's expensive though, at least by me). I'm not a water drinker either. Hate the taste, unless I'm SUPER thirsty. But it has to be room temp. I agree that I can't imagine the added fruits/veggies would provide that much benefit.

I have well water so I can't drink it. (It's not recommended unless we filter it.) We drink Poland Spring.

However, with that said, I'd drink water however you end up liking it just to get it in you. :) Do I think the detox waters work, not so much, but if you end up drinking more water because of the flavorings, have at it!
