Happy First Day of Spring! (Hahaha - still feels like winter hear on the east coast!)

How's everyone doing? Any weight goals this spring? I'm still just hanging on, slowly losing. I've been in a blah state so I'm hoping once the weather gets nicer that will motivate me more! I really, really want to lose 20 pounds by May. :/

This past year has been a bad one for my attitude.  My eating was terrible, I wasn't exercising.  Getting my blood sugar checked was an eye-opener and has me cleaning up my act.  I am cutting back on carbs to lower my blood sugar, exercising for both my blood sugar and blood pressure, and I've lost 6 lbs.  My follow-up doctor visit is the end of June and I would like him to be able to notice my weight loss without having to check my file to see if I lost from the last visit.  That would also help me button my favorite pants, or better yet, have them fall down when I put them on.

6 lbs lost is great !! Congrats Carol ! I'm sure your doctor will be impressed next time she sees you.

I'm Totally impressed to see Erin's determination. I'll feel  really lucky if I can lose just 3.5 lbs by the end of May!

Carol, I'm in a similar boat.  I need to do all that. It's frustrating because I eat 'regular' — that is I'm not going overboard by any means and yet my sugar is higher than it should be and my cholesterol is elevated as well. Bleh. I'm frustrated because my health is worse than it was when I was 40 pounds heavier! Not exactly a motivation there...

We all can do this.  When we got our heads together a while back we did very well, and we can do it again.  Support is a great motivator.

Erin, I know it's hard when you have kids.  Kids eat differently than we need to, as they are still growing.  Do you still have difficulty getting in all your water for the day?  I haven't been doing as well with that either, but who wants to drink cold water when it's 10 degrees outside?  A hot coffee hits the spot!  Now that it's warming up, we can all get back to our water drinking.

Dior, the smaller you are the slower you lose.  And slow weight loss is healthier in the long run .  Don't poo-poo 3.5 lbs.  Every little bit helps.  With exercise, you're also losing inches and building muscle.

It's SPRING!  Lets go girls!!!

What we all should do it support each other and race the scale.. I want to drop 10 lbs if I could but need 5 lbs for sure.. I would love to motivate anyone on dropping some weight.. I use to go to WW but since my injury and I can't exercise as I use to I have not weigh in for the month of March... I will return to WW when I get my ankle in the place I can walk again.. walking and dieting is the way for me to drop weight.. Carol If you and Erin and I want to motivate each other with this losing I would like to check in on the way down the scale.. maybe we could figure something out to help each other ... ( Its been a rough road since I injured my ankle) MY attitude also is not so good.. I work the diet but without the walking or exercise its tough for me to drop the weight.. Let me know...
