KAY! I have been wondering about you. It's so great to see you here. You are referring to the Tone Up Your Body board we used to post on but that board has been combined into this one. There are a lot of great women here on this board and many of us are in our 40s or older.

I'm doing a combo of weight lifting and cardio these days with some Yoga here and there. I also do circuit training, cross-camp style training and tabatas. What kind of workouts are you doing?

Hi!  Welcome to the Healthy Living board. I'll be your age soon!  I've moved a lot of my workouts out of the gym recently.  I've been skiing, running, doing aerial silks, parkour, zumba. I do belong to a gym when none of those work out but it's getting to be less and less lately. When ski season is over, I'm hoping to pick up krav maga and  samba no pe.  I'm also realizing, as I read this, why I have to explain to everyone what it is I really do--I need more recognizable activities!

I will be 57 in two weeks. Right now,I am halfway through a three month assignment in Krakow, Poland, and my workouts are limited because I am working a lot. I lift three times a week. I lift on a split plan - chest/back one day, legs another, shoulders, bis, tris a third. I start with a cardio warmup - either bike or treadmill. I also take a Zumba class most weeks. When I get back to real life, I will add a Pilates class a couple times a month, swimming, and more running. Welcome to the board!

I did not have a computer for a long time and now I am using one of my son. I cant get on the internet very often but i was happy to have found this. I tried tabata a few months back and wow is it challenging. I dont usually move as fast as they wanted but was in a class with a younger crownd so did the best i could.

Nice to see you to.

57 happy birthday in case i dont get back on. I plan to stil lbe moving at 57 and hope i can work out. I feel good when i exercise.

Are you in poland like over in europe? That sounds very exciting as i have never traveled but have always wanted to. My husband and i want to plan a trip to like italy or something in the future and we have been saving our money. Now that kids are grown it seems we are spending even more on them. I guess that is what parents are for.

Glad you got back on!  I pick and choose what I do at parkour. What the younger people can do is pretty crazy and I'm not sure I want to jump into a wall and shoulder roll back off of it.  The hardest part for me is commiting to some of the moves.  I see dangers that the others don't seem to mind. It's fun, though, and I surprisingly feel it in my legs.  It must be all that jumping and leaping. I feel the same way about Zumba for the most part. I tried a lot of classes and hated them--I have probably walked about of more classes that I've stayed. But, then I found this class w/ two Brazilian guys and they make it fun. As they say, it's more dance than zumba.  It is a rest day workout for me, not an intense workout but my body needs that.  Tabatas are really challenging.  It's smart that you take it to the level you need. I've taught tabata classes where people get light headed.  Not a good thing!

Yes, Poland in Europe...it is very fun and I am making the most of the opportunity. I have no kids (or husband) so I can mostly do whatever I want...there are upsides and downsides to all choices, but my choices are good for me...the ladies on this board are a mix of with snd without husbands and with and without kids and it is fun to see the differences that brings to life.

Are you tired of going office daily? Earn 50$ per hour working from home with Google! I've made $64,000 so far this year working online and I'm a full time student. Im using an online business opportunity I heard about and I've made such great money. It's really user friendly and I'm just so happy that I found out about it.
