Have you done any Tabata workouts? What are your thoughts? My gym has just introduced this concept. I have yet to try it out.

I wasn't able to participate this weekend but my sister did and she said she it was an ultra challenge and most everyone in the class is in really good shape too. By the 6th set people were cheating and by the 8th exercises were unrecognizable. lol I'm interested in trying it out as it sounds really interesting

sheesh-I did a 45 minute express yoga class today and I felt like jello afterwards. Now I have this to look forward to on Saturday.lol

lol in my observations, the harder and more challenging something is, the less likely it is to stay popular long. Cross fit was hot and heavy here for quite a while and the interest in it has suddenly wained big time. At one time you couldn't find a spot in one of the classes but suddenly now the 4 0r 5 people that show up have the entire gym to themselves. ;)

hmmmmm...where have we heard that before...slow and steady wins the race..... LOL

I think people stick with steady longer and that may be the reason why you see more gains.

I love Tabatas and agree that they're very challenging. I think the key is to NOT overuse them. If you're lifting twice a week, it would not be a good idea to do them every time you lift.

Exactly--I believe in that with any high intensity training. They're a great effective workout but not
