Hi Karla! Thank you for the welcome. I was reading some of the other posts below and WOW! I was just convinced this was an advanced exercise board.lol I'm just trying to get a routine down soild for exercise before I kick the diet into high gear. At 38 I am flying head first into menopause. I'm an early starter, what can I say!!! So I figured I'd best quit acting like weight loss was in the future and get with. Most of my friends who are thru menopause have told me horror stories of weight that just refused to budge once they were in it and I refuse to be this fat forever. I intend to ride my bike more than 1/4 mile without stopping to catch my breath and push it up the hills.lol My boys & hubby deserve a me who can keep up so now I'm beginning a

Welcome! You definitely belong here. Remember, we all started where you are so we know what it's like. Please go ahead and jump into any thread. And, if you have any questions, we have a couple of personal trainers here who can help, plus there's plenty of nonprofessional knowledge, too!

Hi! Curves is going ok. Somehow managed to get food poisoning over the weekend and am still weak from it. Went yesterday for the 1st time this week and nearly made it the full 2 rounds before I thought I'd kill over. My strength isn't all back yet. I'll go again tomorrow. Tonight I'll walk a mile before dinner. It will be int he 80's later today here so the evening should be perfect. And thank you, I'm sure I'll be struglling thru this for a while till I can get a routine in place.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I really appreciate it. I'll check out the other topic areas today. I'm not a snacker really. A typical day or me currently is slim, fast shake for breakfast with a banana and usually 2 cups of coffee. 2 cups of water before lunch; greek yogurt, some nuts and an apple or a turkey sandwich on honey wheat with pretzels and pineapple. Dinner is usually whatever my family is having, last nght it was chicken taco salads. I'm southern so I LOVE LOVE fried foods but as you can see have been making a concerted effort to leave it out as much as I can. Of course this is week 1.lol I'm sure at some point I'm gonna eyeball something I shouldn't and not fight that temptation too hard.lol But I'm going to do my best.
