What do you use for your walking/running/cycling app?

I currently use iRunner https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/irunner-running-jogging-walking/id304074554?mt=8 but wonder what else is out there that might be better.

Do you wear clips?  That also scares me to death. I have a 20 some year old hybrid.  When I did a triathlon, the tires were so fat, they had to give me a special bike holder because they wouldn't fit in the regular bike holders.  I like nice leisurely rides, enjoy the scenery, etc.  Traffic also scares me. Wow, I'm such a coward!

Karla, maybe you're just not old enough yet for cycling Wink. Seems like a lot of runners eventually turn to cycling because they can get an aerobic workout without all of the pounding.

And yes, bike fit makes all the difference. I have a woman-specific bike (slightly different frame geometry, and the brake levers have a shorter reach) with a woman specific saddle. A trained bike fitter helped me choose the correct frame size, then made adjustments. We spent a couple of hours on the first fit session, and I returned for 2 more adjustments after I'd gotten used to the bike. Seemingly minor things can have a big impact on your comfort and if you will develop knee pain, foot numbness etc. (and the butt pain just takes putting hours on the saddle, and chamois shorts that fit right). But once you get everything "dialed in" its awesome!

Jean, I've never raced. I've done some "charity rides" or supported rides in the past but not for a few years.

Pretty soon we'll need an app to manage our apps - lol. Or do they have that already? haha

I would get sucked into a black hole of apps and you'd never hear from me again!

I have a spi belt for races, probaby along the same idea. I have to confess that I've never downloaded an app. I have this fear that it's going to be like Pandora's box if I do.

Jean, my sister bought be a super slim runner's waist pack for my birthday and I can now take my phone with me. I can fit my car key and my phone in it and it isn't weighted down or heavy around my waist. It pretty much stays put and I don't even notice it is there.

I have never been into cycling though I tried a few times. My husband bought us matching bikes for our 20th anniversary so I tried it for the last time. I have too many body aches (butt, hands, knees) when riding that I just can't enjoy anything. I know it is probably because my bike doesn't fit properly and I don't want to spend the money getting something when I know I won't use it.
