Natural proteins and vitamins vrs artificial proteins and vitamins

I have always wonder which is the healthiest way forurmetabolistm and body to digesturproteins and vitamin, thru artificial or natural ones. I ask this because it is so common between people who practices sport, go to the gym, athletes men and now even women.to take artiificial ones in big powder canisters that I wonder if it is because they do not digest the enough proteins and vitamins that come from fruits and vegetables and they have to take artificial supplements to get them.
So is it necessary for them to take artificial ones to have more mass quickly even if so many supplements say they are natural and do not have chemicals nd why they believe they have to take them and cant a person builds muscle mass and be healthy with vitamins and proteins just by eating the natural fruits and vegetables nature give us plus being active.
