Hello,

I'm new here, My name is Tina, I'm 41 yrs old, I have 3 boys, and married. I live in Northern California. I just started working out February 5th of this year, I have been doing Insanity 6x a week and just started doing Yoga 2x a week. I love it! It's a bit tough but what work out is going to be easy. I have my mid section to work on & toning, I see a little bit of a change so far but I know it takes time & progress.

Now I just need to work on my eating habits which is a bit of a challenge since I love to eat and change can be hard.

Any tips, advice are always welcome :)

Tina

OMG -- you just started working out and you are working out 8 times a week?! You are definitely motivated. One way to chart your progress is to keep a workout and daily food intake diary to help you adjust things as you go along. Feel free to join us, two subjects down, in the daily journal. There is a wealth of workout and diet (food) expertise on this board from professional trainers. I have found their knowledge, stamina, and kindness extremely motivating. Keep us posted of your progress! I do mostly yoga, now, because of various injuries, and I absolutely love it! Do you do DVDs? If so, which one(s)? I would be interested in knowing, as I just go to yoga class 2 - 4 times a week.

Welcome to the board! Insanity looks...well...insane...I always wonder how many calories I burn watching the commercials...I am a big proponent of food journaling to learn about why you eat what you eat when you eat. You can find some easy switches to make and success with that can motivate the next success. As FSN said, the daily journal is a good way to stay accountable...please join us there.:)

Hi Tina and welcome to the board. Wow-you are really getting the workouts in. I do cross-fit classes but can only manage 2 of that kind of workout a week. On occasion I will get in 3 but then find myself really struggling the rest of the week.

I personally prefer a slow weight lifting session and a long walk but I know I need to push myself at some point. :-)

Glad to have you join us!

Welcome to the board! As the others have said, we post a daily journal below and it's a fun way to see what others are doing/eating and to get to know each other. Feel free to join us there!
