So much for healthier eating

Sheesh, one of my "resolutions" was to eat healthier this year and all the horribly snow and frigid weather have killed that notion. I am not typically a bread person and I find myself making rolls, muffins and loaves like they are going out of style.

Does anyone else eat a lot of junk when it is cold?

Nutrition and healthy eating go hand in hand. If you are unsure of how to eat a healthy diet, you should talk to your doctor or pediatrician and meet with a nutritionist to learn about healthy eating. Live longer, feel great, have tons of energy, look gorgeous, and lose weight with healthy eating and exercises.

I think we have a physiological clock that goes off in our heads like bears.  I CRAVE comfort food in the winter, and that makes it so much harder to stay away from the carbs...I, too, have been slipping with bread and pasta.  :(  This week, I am back to lots of vegetables.  I made a huge batch on Sunday that I just heat up each day - green onions, carrots, zucchini, peppers, and broccoli go in everything...I add them to egg whites, fajitas, as a side dish, and whatever.  Yum!

That sounds so good! I haven't had a big plate of pasta in a long time.

You can enroll me in the carb club...bread, pasta, cookies, chocolate...the fruit and veggies just don't look that great and at not appealing to me at all. I have swapped out Sunday night soup making for pasta - partly because I share whatever I make with my trainer on !indays, and he is playing basketball Monday nights - soup doesn't seem substantial enough...last night I made fettuccini with scallops, broccoli, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes, and it was awesome!

I love my comfort foods when it's cold out.  I made these rolls last week that I brought to a pot luck and couldn't stop eating them.  And, I ordered meatloaf when we went out to eat after skiing. I never get meatloaf because it's so easy to make at home but it came w/ garlic mashed potatoes and stringy onion rings. Mmmm.

Not necessarily junk food, but lots of warm creamy soups and stews, but bread to dunk in it, yum yum!! I think its just nature, we're supposed to be "stockpiling" during the winter time so its a more natural inclination to eat more "warm" foods. At least that's the excuse I am trying to stick with.
