I just found out WHY I have been waking up at 2:30 every morning this week - after skipping for the past two months, it is now TTOM.

FSN - Moving is a wonderful excuse to throw stuff away.

The problem w/ junk, as I tell my famiy when I make them watch the Hoarder shows, is that it doesn't appear ovenight. It's all those small little piles that acumulate over the years so you don't notice it until you take a step back.

And that is why you throw away things when he/they are gone and then feign ignorance when they go looking for it (and 9 times out if 10, they have already forgotten it existed) .

Not feeling respected isn't cool. They can at least pick up their own stuff and it shouldn't require a birthday to make it happen.

That's exactly what's getting me down.

I can understand the frustration - my son has moved out (again) so I have the house to myself, but looking around I still see piles "of him" everywhere. They just don't bother to put anything away the first time and then will walk around the pile o'stuff like it doesn't even exist. Which is does, because it is driving us crazy. It must be a male-pattern-vision-impairment.

I always thought it was just them "acting stupid" to get out of doing chores.
