From 70 to snow in less than a day

I think I have been witness to one of the craziest weather systems ever. On Saturday it was 70 degrees here and I was out cleaning the yard in short sleeves. I had my granddaughter all day and we enjoyed the day outside and even went downtown to look at the shops. The wind picked up later that evening and we woke up Sunday to snow cover. It snowed all day yesterday and thankfully the ground was warm enough for it not to accumulate on the roads or we would have had a mess to deal with. It is now thunderstorming. lol

Just a few days until spring. I hope the weather gets in gear and cooperates.

I was supposed to start a math class this week but dropped it. I decided that I need to eliminate some stress right now and that class made the list. When things calm down around here (hopefully this summer) I'll take that class.

I have cross fit class this evening.

What's everyone else up to?

Wow Karla, that's a pretty bizarre temp change.  Reminds me of the Midwest.  Although, I have to say, Phoenix is starting to mirror other places more and more with radical temperature changes.

I am off today.  I am getting a Brazilian Blowout this afternoon.  My new stylist piqued my interest and I got my mom to get it for me as an early birthday gift.  Planning to do strength training this morning.  We had a great weekend but it kicked my butt energy-wise and I am still recovering.  :)

Good morning :)  Let me just say again how glad I am to be back!

Wow, that is some crazy weather.  We've got snow on the ground here and its been about 15 degrees lower than our average for this time of year.  I'm so ready to get outside - this stuff is killing me.

I actually took the day off today.  It feels weird!  I normally teach 3 group fit classes and 2 reformers on Mondays, so I definitely need to make up for those workouts - I like my Mondays, but I needed today to get some stuff done.  I've got some household things I need to do like closet organization and the big TOSS - donate or get rid of stuff I havent worn or used in a year.  I also need to get to the grocery store today and then do some food prep for the rest of the week.

I think my game plan is this:  Try a video from Amazon on Demand - those give me good class ideas sometimes, maybe Jari Love.  Then I'll do hills on the stairmaster - just bought a new one :)  Might be cool to find a yoga class on groupon or something, I never get to do that!

Ok - do tell about this Brazillian blow out!  I have incredibly curly hair - I'd love to know the scoop.  Take pics!

We've had some pretty crazy weather, too. I backed out of the garage, looked in the rear camera and saw it snowing hard!  I had to do a double take.  I had a heavy day weekend of skiing--who are all these people who decide at the end of the season that they want to learn to ski???  I'm headng out Wednesday to Whiteface to ski for 4 days and then meeting my family at Stratton. I want to end the year the way I started w/ nonstop skiing!

No workout today. I had some clients and am baking brownies because it's national american chocolate week. I'm not sure what that means but sounds like a good excuse to bake brownies.

Let us know what the Brazilian blow out is. Hope it's nothing like Brazilian wax!  How are you feeling now?  Well, other than brides march recovery, how are you feeling post surgery?

I don't know if you do boot camp type classes but if you're looking for good ideas, try bodyrock.tv. It's free, 15-20 min workouts. I get great ideas from it.

They have creative exercises, especially abs.  You have to get over the sexualized titles/thumbnails, though. I'd love to have the dancers at the studio do them but they pictures aren't appropriate for young teens, unfortunately.

Okay, so the "quick reply" button is still a farce.  Every time I try to use it, it tells me I am trying to post an unauthorized comment.

The Brazilian Blowout is a chemical process - kind of like the anti-perm.  It's supposed to smooth and straighten.  It's kind of expensive but can last 4ish months if you take care of it (which is primarily using shampoos that are free of sulfates).

I'm feeling okay, Jean.  Kind of rundown after the weekend but not too bad.  My antibiotics finish on Wednesday and I'm looking forward to that.

lol like everyone else, I was definitely intrigued with the Brazillian Blowout. I too wondered if it was anything like the Brazillian wax. ;-)

That error message occurs when you are not fully logged in. The delay in authentification causes most of the error messages everyone is seeing. I know I am beginning to sound like a broken record but it is being worked on. Right now the entire site is in the process of being moved to a different server so that has some bearing on the board technical issues.

It's really weird because I can only use quick reply with Safari. lol

You know I have both Netflix and Blockbuster on demand (I know-movie freak here) but have never tried any of the fitness topics. I'll have to browse and see what is available.

Did anyone see that Redbox is going to have a new thing? http://www.ivillage.com/forums/node/119796275 lol I know I have got to draw the line somewhere on the movie thing.

On the off chance I'm home for a workout I like Amazon or itunes a lot because you can lose for $1.99, right?!  The selections are ok, not fabulous, but I've found some fun things... even a few good step combos.

Jean, (hi!  btw) I have been to that site, and yeah, they have some good stuff :)  Lots of focus on that one girls abs.  haha Of course if I looked like that I'd probably be naked 24/7 or at least find every excuse to wear booty shorts and a bra top to my normal hangouts.  I mean, I think thats totally appropriate for Kroger or Whole Foods.  :D

We are waiting for snow, but it has. Been very cold.what happened to Global Warming? I am going to Florida Wednesday, so I hope the runways are plowed by then. I am on vacation..I love not working...it is restaurant week in Boston, and I wn't to dinner at a local place tonight with a freind from work...it was good, but not cheap compared to Krakow. I was on the Cape this weekend, and I did see dafodils blooming...I am going back the first week in April and it should be beautiful then. I went to the gym today 12 minutes on bike, lifting or chest/back, then abs. I would like to try a Fitbarre class....
