Another freezing day on Wednesday

I'm going to get ready to shovel snow again this morning. We got a light dusting and it is supposed to get colder tonight so I don't want it to turn to ice. I hired a new lawyer yesterday, since my last lawyer will return any of my communications. It turns out that the last two lawyers I had screwed up a bunch of stuff, for which there maybe no recourse since too much time has lapsed. Hopefully, this lawyer can get some things done efficiently so that I can minimize my losses. I have a meeting with my therapist today, I also have a crown which may turn into a root canal, and I'm supposed to go line dancing tonight. We will see how I feel after the crown/root canal. It seems that my stepson is starting to learn the boundaries. I gave him tonight as an evening that his band can practice. It turns out that they are not coming over tonight. At dinner last night, He told "his dad that his band is going to record an album which will cost a couple thousand dollars.  DH's Response was, "well, good luck with that."Really?! He expects his parents to pay for that, when he still hasn't raised the $800 to pay for his car? DH Already gave him money for a photo shoot for his band and DH didn't tell me about that expense so he doesn't know that I am aware of that expense already. Wow!  Talk about a sense of entitlement!   Blah blah blah, the perils of a blended family.  I keep on telling myself that, "it's only money. "At this point, our investments are all separate. I think I'm going to keep it that way.

do you have some cheese to go with my whine?!  ;). Make it great day, everyone!

Jean, you are always such a sound, voice of reason. Just because the conference was only for physicians, doesn't mean that the moderators checked all of their facts and studies. Sometimes, I think we all make assumptions. But, as you mentioned, If you don't read the sourced study, you never know how that particular moderator interpreted the data. And it's funny, but the physician I talked to yesterday also talked about the study showing that the health benefits of a grass fed cow are better than that of a grain fed. Perhaps these are all hypotheses that need to be verified with data?

SJ and Jean, my son is a counter and a numerically-based person, too.   As a child, he was always asking questions on numerically-based observations around him.

That's why people say we need to drink 8 glasses of water a day. No, we don't. Who knows where it came from but people heard it and repeated it and now we have people walking around carrying bottles of water like they're camel's own source and creating the bottled water industry. All for a fallacy. This might be a bad way to discount someone's fitness knowledge but the minute they talk about drinking 8 glasses of water a day, I take the rest of what they say w/ a grain of salt. I don't discount it, but keep that in mind.
