Fantastic Friday!

Was that convincing at all? No?  Not so much?  Cool  I am not feeling terribly fantastic, unfortunately.  I feel like I've been swallowed by allergies again.  I did get a decent night's sleep but woke up with a headache due to allergy-ness.  I've got two clients this morning and I think I'm taking a rest day.  Load up on allergy meds and see what happens.

My girlfriend's birthday party is tomorrow.  We've road tripped several times and she always stops to buy gummy bears.  There's a "retro sweets" shop that has opened up here that carries every imaginable kind of candy and candy paraphenalia.  (Who knew you needed M&M headphones?)  They sell a 10 pound gummy bear that is the size of a stuffed animal so I'm going to go pick that up for her today.

Breakfast: oatmeal

Snack: ?

Rest of the day:  No idea... if DH goes with me, we may go out to lunch.

Ugh.  I think I am getting a cold.  :(. When my sick girlfriend handed me her phone to look at pictures, I held it, against my better judgement...actually, I had lunch with her, and as she was sneezing and blowing her nose, I thought it was not smart of me.  :O. She is a great friend, and she will be losing her job in a few months (her employer announced a complete layoff for her divisionentire my company, an entire division is being "let go" by year end, two divisions just had layoffs this week, and the company president sent out an email announcing yet more layoffs.  :(

i was up late getting legal stuff together.  My daughter promised me she would get some receipts to me this morning, and surprise, surprise, she did not do it.  :(. Children@&$!?

I did a spin class last night. If I fight off this cold, I will go to yoga tonight. Otherwise, it will be a rest day. Ugh. I HATE being sick! I have more legal stuff to do today, a work in-service at a hospital, and then, a LONG drive home. Calhoun, take me away!

You are up so early today!  Did you ever figure out, specifically, what you are allergic to?  I hate those allergies...it's like having a low-grade cold/flu year round.  :(

have fun this weekend.  You have fun friends!

I am allergic to pretty much everything. Aside from residing in a bubble, there's not much else I can do aside from what I'm already doing. :(

Haha, I read the title and thought, Hey Kel is upbeat today!  Frustrated at early morning clients who don't show. My first two, 6 and 6:45 both didn't show up and I don't know what's going on with that.  They're regulars so it's just odd.  The 6:45 is normally really good about texting me so I'm wondering if it's work that's messing up the schedule. I went into DC for lunch today w/ friends from my old gym I haven't seen in a long time. It was great seeing them and fun to be in Georgetown. I live close enough to it that I should go more often.  A friend of mine sent both kids off to college and she and her husband rented a place in the city. They still have their other house but wanted a change of pace. It sounds like fun. Of course, mine would be somewhere near the mountains!

I was going to go to Zumba tonight but my daughter has Nutcracker practice so I have to be chauffeur.  Maybe I'll double up, go to piloxing and zumba tomorrow--two different places. I'm off of aerial silks and parkour until my back heals. I was going to push it and decided to be smart.  I must be maturing.Tongue Out

I was su busy with work today that I never actually had time to shower, dress, and go to work...I sometimes have early morning phone calls with my counterpart in Poland, and today one call led to another...I kept thinking I would get a break long enough but at 1:30 I abandoned hope and decided to just stay home. I usually work on problematic projects, (before I get them, not because of me)...and so I sometimes get roped in to things that really, even I don't know why I am involved...I think because I tell people decisively what to do and they are afraid to tell me no...it was that kind of day. Since I have no child in need of Nutcracker chauffeuring, I am going to Zumba in a few minutes...and planning to go again tomorrow. Hope all the sniffle sneezy people feel better, all the people annoyed by other people have happy times this weekend, and everyone rests as well as bakes pie...

Correction. The gummy bear is 5 lbs and we figured about 35,000 calories. :D

Ugg. I'm dealing with allergies too today. At least I hope that is what it is. I had a migraine for hours and it didn't help that half my town lost power for 4 hours for no known reason today. The sun is shining, there is no wind, and we aren't anywhere near the east coast.

I was straightening up the cover on the day bed in the den today and bent my nail all the way back. Yikes it hurt! I finally broke down and took some advil for my head and finger.

I did get to the gym this evening and get a couple miles on the treadmill in. Now I am going to spend the evening working on a Ethics paper (Kant and same sex marriage). Fun, fun, evening ahead-NOT. lol

Did you all see the news that Hostess (twinkies) went under? Seems so odd since I grew up on twinkies. Those and ho-hos were the ultimate treat when I was a kid.

I have seen one of those before-totally awesome! I wonder if any one person can eat the whole thing in one day without getting sick.

I was a ring ding girl...and also those marshmallow coconut covered snowballs..pink and white...and Funny Bones - yum, chocolate and peanut butter - but I haven't had them in years and years. Ans scooter pies...I told my nephew about scooter pies one time and quite a while later, he saw them in the store and insisted his mother buy them for me...they were not as good or as big as I remembered but I loved that he wanted me o have them...and ooooooh on the nail....it is the smallest, oddest things that hurt the most. Is Kant for or against same sex marriage? I'm going for 'for' but I don't know why...

Ah-whether or not Kant would be for or against is the purpose of the paper. We have to chose and support our theories. My thoughts are that he would have been against it based on his first categorical imperative. I believe after doing some studying he would have been against homosexuality in general based on his religion and the time period he lived in. Of course keep in mind I am not doing great in Ethics and my interpretations of things like this could be the reason.
