first snow Monday...

... At least, that's what the weather forecast calls for today. The weekend was so nice. I spent some quality time with my mom and my daughter, came home and spent quality time with DH, and now it's back to the work grind.  This week, I think my workouts are going to consist of dog training and physical therapy and dance class. Oh! I forgot I have a line dance date this week as well. i got caught up in some TV shows last night, and now, I have only had five hours of sleep. We will see how well I do today.

What are you all up to?

We are expecting snow in my area too this evening. Anywhere from a dusting to 2 inches is what I have heard, but then it is going to turn around and be near 70 by Saturday. I've got a scratchy throat and headache and I'm convinced the weird weather has everything to do with it.

I ran 8 miles and walked 2 yesterday. I am entering the upper mileage levels for my daily run/walk activity over the past several decades so we will see how this goes once I start getting into the teens. At this point I feel good with no concerns for my hip so I think my slow run build-up has made a difference.

I will be doing a recovery jog for today with some upper body weights this afternoon then I am going to start on my long list of Thanksgiving cleaning activities. At this time looks like there will be 22 for Thanksgiving dinner.

And in honor of Veteran's day, here is my favorite soldier (my oldest son):

FSN, sounds like a nice weekend!

Karla, what a great photo!  Keep us posted on your runs.

I'm going to do some strength training this morning.  My energy levels feel better so we'll see if it holds.  I cannot believe how tired I got from going off anti-histamines.  I was so wasted.  Guess it's good to know that I need them - big time!  I've got my client this afternoon and I'm working on freelance projects this morning.

No snow today but potential sleet. Puppy was sick last night--we think it's because my husband fed her onions (don't ask,  I wasn't home).  She had a vet appointment today so luckily was seen but she was fine by then.  I took it easy on my healing dislocated finger and only did zumba today.  I've been working on wall runs in parkour:

http://www.videojug.com/film/parkour-wall-run

I can run up and catch a wall about 6 1/2-7 feet tall but haven't tried climbing over.  I can jump onto a lower wall, hang on, then pull myself up and over but I have to do those together so I can climb taller walls.  If I get it, I'll post it on FB but I'm really bruised. I've been practicing on a concrete wall, from our basement walk up and I'm not hitting or falling but it's the pressure against it that's causing brusies. Sucks getting old!  I was doing the jumping up and catching in a class for regular peoeple and there were a lot of young guys. They cheered when I got it but really, I'm a foot shorter!  It's a much bigger accomplishment for me than for them.  It felt almost condescending, like yay, the old lady got it!

beautiful picture, Karla!  So much to be proud of!  :)

jean, onions?  I would be more horrified with what is coming out of the other end.  :(. YUCK!

a significant dusting of snow today.  I did yoga, and blew off the Dogtraining since the weather is so bad.  Yucky meeting tomorrow.  Oh, and I recommended a colleague of mine to another company because I think whe is SO SMART AND HARDWORKING, and my company is going to burn out a good worker.  She said she "...was honored..." Which, again, proves what a good person she is.  :O

it would be interesting if she left.  :O. I am trying to do something nice for her because I worry that my company will burn her out (too much red tape?) and it seems that our division is ready to spun sold, which makes our jobs highly risky.

life is god.

I would love it if it got to 90 degrees here this time of year!! At this time it still hasn't snowed and I think it is way to warm (50 ish) right now and would have to drop significantly for it to snow. I'm betting we get more of a cold rain than anything.

Jean, my height is great advantage to climbing but anymore I have a great fear of having my feet off the ground so rarely try jumping things.

And onions? lol I can't believe the puppy ate them.
