(It is nearly impossible for me to type that word without thinking of that horrid Rebecca Black song...LOL.)

I got some chemically assisted sleep last night which was much needed.  Didn't sleep as late as I would have liked but I'll take what I can get.  I'm doing a strength workout this morning followed by a doc appointment with the allergy guy and my last client for the week.  I need to stop by the doggie spa to get a grooming gift certificate for OP's pups (xmas present).  I think OP and I may do Indian food tonight.  As it cooled down a lot here this week, I've been craving warm stew-y foods and tikka masala will fit the bill just perfectly.  We have NO plans for this weekend which is nice.  I think we may wrap presents and see if more shopping is necessary.

Have a good weekend!

Ugh and now I have that song in my head.  I'm heading out today and have a 7 hour drive after work. Well, what little work I had. It was supposed to be 2 clients, fine. But, one of my boss's two clients cancelled so she asked me to take the early morning one so she didn't have to get in early just for one client. Okay, I'll be a team player ... Client then cancels (good thing) but so one of my others.  Down to one client but had I known, I would have tried to move her earlier so my boss could do it and I could just leave. Anyway, a lot of whining about nothing really.  Just too many plan changes last minute.

I'll be taking my level 1 ski instructor exam this weekend and then heading to Killington.  I'll check in when I can and it might be more often because I'll be alone, or at least w/out family. Looking forward to some quiet time but also realizing this is the last pre-Christmas I'll have w/ my son before he goes off to college so a little bittersweet.

Good luck on your exam, Jean! And I feel your pain about the scheduling. Because we live so far out, I try to schedule my errands or other appointments around work. And inevitably someone cancels and screws the whole thing up. :P

omg,I hate that nasally tone in that song.  :P

For a fourth night this week, I was up late doing paperwork, only, this time, it was for court on Monday.  UGH.  I cancelled my previous "yes" rsvp to party number two this weekend.  I have way too much to do.  There is a two your yoga session this weekend (I think), and that would do me more good than a party.

Gymrat I love your pampered life, and I suspect I should be doing more of that for myself.  Jean, skiing sounds amazingly fun, so enjoy...and savor every moment with your son.  I still can't believe my daughter is gone off to college!

Work today, maybe yoga tonight.  LOTS of housecleaning, workouts, and other administrative stuff to attend to this weekend, along with a manicure...I absolutely LOVE the no chip french!  Make it a great weekend, everyone!

Omg! I was about to post when I saw the news flash about the Connecticut Elementary School shooting and I haven't been able to tear myself away from the news. How on earth can someone mow down small children like that? At this I'm seeing possibly 18 children killed.

Jean - have an awesome time skiing...your son will be home long before Christmas in his College years...FSN - I am all about the pampering...Gymrat - enjoy your weekend. Karla - I caught some of Pierce Morgan on TV last night talking about Americans obsession with guns...reminds me of the song 'how many deaths will it take til we know, that too many people have died'.... I went to the gym to lift tonight. This is a guys gym...the women take classes or use the pool...but not me, I like my weights...I did a ten minute bike warmup, then lifting for chest/back. Chest press, flat bench, dumbbells, fly, flat press, dumbbells. One armed standing row. Deadlifts. Lat pull down...so proud of myself...I went into the room with machines, and one of the guys, who may work their, asked if I needed help. I said I wanted to work in with them on lat pull down. He set the weight for me, and I I'd a set. Then he did a set, and when the other guy was working out, said 'you have very nice technique. I was watching you' I thanked him and we talked a little. The first step, I think, to being part of the lifting community. I worked in for two more sets. Then I looked around the room at the equipment, and there is a lot iam comfortable using. There was a seated row machine, and I did three sets on that. In between the dumbbell lifting, I did AB moves on the bench. I went to dinner at 'the Dog in the Fog' pub and had broccoli soup and potato pancakes. Either would have been enough. This place is in the next street to me, so I will go there gain. But there are so many places to eat here, it is hard to choose between the tried and true and trying other places.
