The Friday that feels like Monday

Today feels like a Monday to me. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Despite the rain, we had a fantastic family get together. The men ran out to play with fireworks in between showers and to our shock, it seems like half the rest of the town was doing the same. It was one of the most active 4th of Julys I have ever seen in this town. lol

Does anyone believe in omens or "signs"? My husband is a deeply religious person and I try not to get caught up too much in his signs but we had a strange occurence at our house. Three days ago one of our clock's batteries went dead. It stopped at 17 minutes to 7. The next day, a full 24 hours later, another of our clocks stopped at 17 minutes to 7. It's batteries also died. My husband thinks it means something that both the clocks stopped at the same time a day apart. lol Hmmm, what do you think? My explanation is that we often change the batteries (lightbulbs, etc) in the house around the same time so it makes sense they would die at around the same time.

Hubby's b-day is this weekend and we bought him a new guitar in celebration of it. He doesn't play much, just strums and sings more than anything, but it was nice to be able to get him something really nice like this. He has played an older guitar for the last 29 years and this is his first brand new one.

I have to work my other job this weekend so I'm not sure how much time I will get to exercise. If it doesn't rain today I hope to get out and get a good walk in before work.

What is everyone else up to?

A friend of mine, very wise old man, says, "there are no coincidences. "My father, on the other hand, who was also a very wise old man, didn't believe in any of that. Take your pick. There are some coincidences that have occurred in my life where so much good came out of the coincidences. So perhaps there is some truth to it. I also had a phenomenal Fourth of July. I went to two parties, and stayed for only two hours at each party, came home, worked with my camera to take some more pictures, and watched an old love story movie with my daughter, falling asleep on the couch. I decided to take today off. I'm gonna go to yoga, and then meet some old friends downtown to eat at the restaurant, "the purple pig. "I am so excited. More pictures to follow I am sure. Have a great day and weekend everyone!
