After 10 years I've seen without glasses and contacts via Lasix surgery, I now have to go back to contact sunglasses. On the upside, the context seem to be a lot more comfortable than they were 10 years ago. Plus, it's awesome to have monovision, where I can actually see my phone Without reading glasses. LOL. Lots of work today, yoga, chauffeuring dear daughter, and late night uncle tonight. It's not the bunco that I enjoy, but rather, mixing it up with women I normally wouldn't see. It's so interesting to get to know new people. This new group of ladies Are just genuine, fun women want to have some laughter in their lives. One of them is now doing my hair, and that I learned that another one has a daughter who died six years ago. Learning stories about other people, and finding out how they have endured such horrific incidents give me a lot of strength and respect as I go forward in trying to endure my own "issues."The bunco is just a distraction that Gives you an activity that provides the opportunity to mix it up with people that you normally wouldn't. Plus, it's nice to get away from the family and all of the mundane activity of the family. Gym rat, do you have any more insights on what your publisher wants as far as subject matter? That sounds so frustrating to just hear, "no, no, no. "Jean, that parkour video looks awesome. I'm too much of a scaredy-cat to venture into anything that looks semi-dangerous. With all of my injuries, I would be too fearful of hurting myself. Carla, it sounds wonderful that you are doing I'll Chopra and honing up on all of your other academic skills. You using any of the XL, as well? SJ, did you do you have any more trips planned?l

I've had some odd problems, too.  Please stick with it!  It's frustrating but I'd miss your adventures. Besides, where else would you get those funny mistyped voice recognition errors?

Hi ladies. I haven't been able to get to Ivillage for a few days...my whole IPad was freezing up each time I tried....I love this board, but I may have to join the ranks who have given up because it is just too hard. I hope you are all having a good weekend. I went to zumba and Pilates today, then walked on the beach...

By the time I considered LASIK, the doctor warned me that I'd probably need reading glasses soon and if I didn't have LASIK, I could read fine w/out contacts, eg. at night, so I opted not to do it. I"m playing w/ modified monovision contact which is working. Not great but it works so I'll count my blessings.

LOL, I have fears that I'll send the wrong text to the wrong person!  Those solidify why.  I love this about translational problems:

" I'll Chopra and honing up on all of your other academic skills."

LOL, I thought you were using Chopra as a verb at first and loved the concept. I'll Chopra good thoughts and hope for the best.  I had early morning clients this morning and then went to parkour.  My son goes off to college next Friday so this weekend will be bittersweet.  My husband decided, for some reason, that this would be a good time for a golf outing. I feel like e-mailing Cats in a Cradle to him.

I like connecting w/ others, too, like you do w/ your parkour group but I don't love meeting a lot of new people at once. A couple is fine and I like that it revolves around an actviity, like parkour, skiing, running, rowing. I tend to find that in my neighborhood/suburbia, quite a lot of the women have lives that revolve around their kids and family and no other interests. If I find an activity, I tend to find women who do.  It's probably become a self selection process for me, over the years.  I never go to things like Pampered Chef, Silpada, etc.  either. I'm such a bah humbug person!

FSN, I just got a second pair of glasses (mostly for driving) so I hear you.  I got my LASIK about 12 years ago.  They told me that around 40, my vision would decline and its a little early but not unexpected.  I've been having a conversation with the site curator and I think I'm finally understanding what she's looking for.  She sent me some examples and that is far more helpful than anything she's said.

Spent part of this morning packing and I've got a client in a little while.  I'll doing strength training this afternoon and then I'm going to a concert tonight with my best friend.  Trying to keep my stress in check...

ROFL! Yep, that I'll Chopra can get quite challenging at times. ;-) Gotta love voice recognition software!!

Speaking of funny lines, I litterally laughed out loud when I read this article: http://www.ivillage.com/sender-beware-embarrassing-texts-sent-wrong-person/4-a-544437 LOL Gentleman veggies??? I bet Christmas time with the family will never be the same.

Fresh, I too love hearing other people's stories. It makes me realize how good I really do have it compared to what it could have been.
