Get out to vote Tuesday

Well, get out unless you've already done so.  I really wanted to vote absentee but you have to have a legitimate reason here, other than poll place phobia which I have. I'm bringing my son with me today so he can see how it all works for when he can vote.  Although, he'll most likely be voting absentee the next four years at least.

I'm heading out for a run soon w/ friends. It's gotten cold here suddenly and is in the 30's.  I'm not ready for it yet. It was in the 80's two weeks ago!

Really?  You can't do a mail in vote without a good reason?  I started early voting in the last election and it's definitely the way to go.  What I would really love is to vote online so I'd have a copy (or access to a copy) of how I voted.  With so many local propositions, it's hard to remember to how I voted on certain things (mostly things about which I do not feel strongly).

I did an interval cardio workout this morning and I've got two clients later on today.  We're having a little election party this evening.  Keeping my fingers crossed...  :)

Ugh...infinite loop trying to reply.  software bugs.  aaaarrrggghhh.

I am trying to get out of the house.  So much work!  Yoga this morning, work today, dinner program tomorrow night, and then, the following night, I was one of four employees chosen to have dinner with a senior vp...he wants a "pulse" on what is working and not working.  Ugh.  I think this is just an honorable mentioned event...do the higher ups really want to know the truth?  I say, "no."  My plan is to sprinkle in the truth, and play it by ear - if he probes for further clarification, well, then, he wants to know.  I was told I should have a solution ready, as well.  OMG. Anxiety. The dinner program tomorrow night is enough anxiety - making sure all of my high level customers goes is key.

Ok, ciao.  gotta run...after work, gotta get the nails did, too. :P

btw, senior vp is four levels above my lowly work-in-the-trenches head, so I am envisioning glass house, but I could be wrong. We all put our pants on one leg at a time, but...

I just got back from voting and I'm really surprised at how busy the polls were. I have never had to wait in line and there was a line at my polling place.

First, Gym, sorry I didn't get here to reply yesterday. The tech teams are working sporadically and things were kind of odd yesterday. We are hoping to see some major changes this week so fingers crossed.

Second-big news. My daughter who has been married for 6 weeks is 5 weeks pregnant. I promise I did teach my kids about birth control! lol They just love family life and want families of their own. I am excited though I wish she would have waited a bit longer.

My arms are so sore from the workout challenge this past week. 100 pull ups. I had to do them with assistance but finished. It feels very good to say I did 100 pull ups (even if I had to have help!)

The group project meeting I was in charge of went fantastically! I can't believe how smooth the whole meeting went. I am hoping it's a big fat A for me!

Hahaha-I am feeling good today!

Ha, what I love about my job is that I get all the senior executives, presidents, etc and get to make them do burpees and push ups.  It's power.

It was surprisingly busy where I vote, too.  There are two locales and while they had people directing you where to go, they really needed to have a big sign. I stood in line before realizing I was in the wrong one (didn't see the other because it was so short!).

Congrats first on the pregnancy--you'll be a grandmother again!  And, good job on the pull ups. That is so impressive!  Hey, you should find an aerial silks class. I'll bet you'd be awesome at it.  I'm getting better at pull ups but tried one w/ hanging legs the other day and got stuck. I think it's a neuromuscular thing but who knows.
