Getting Cold Thursday

It's like fall hit suddenly!  I'm teaching step this morning and that's about it. I'm just so low in energy these days.  Once I get moving, I'm fine but I have to get motivated to move.  I'm seriously thinking of hiring someone to rake the leaves this year. I don't want to deal w/ it and it's discouraging to rake 15 bags of leaves and then have more fall overnight where it looks the same again.  LOL, one reason I loved the house was the huge oak trees out front.

I had a horrible night... sinus headache that I could not get to go away.  I finally got up, took a massive dose of tylenol and advil (which is a last resort), had some cottage cheese and was able to sleep a little longer.  Needless to say, I'm rather tired so I'm going to skip the workout today.  I've got an allergist appointment this morning.  Hopefully, he's gotten my bloodwork back and we'll know if the magic injections are working.  I'm having lunch with OP and then probably resting the remainder of the day.

Writer set back...  the company that suspended me fired me yesterday.  I honestly think it was probably a matter of time.  The CE's give each article a score but you don't ever see the score - you just see an overall average of all the scores.  And we aren't allowed to have relationships with the CE so it's not like you can talk to them and find out why they scored the way they did (and improve from there).  I had been doing a lot of reading online about other folks' experiences with this company and apparently, if your scores were under a certain point (mine were just under that point), they let you go.  No probation, no nothing.  Had it not been for the plag issue, I probably would have been under the radar for a while longer but they would have probably fired me anyway.  Ah well.  Althought it was exciting to earn money and be published so quickly, their strict template made it feel creatively stifling.

Onward and upward.  I've got several job possibilities in the works.  I got a job yesterday reading a thriller novel and writing a 200 word honest review.  It pays $20 but that's $20 more than I get paid to read the thrillers that I usually read anyway.  Money Mouth

Karla, thinking happy thoughts for you and yours this morning.  Let us know how everything went.

It's too easy to get lost in the abyss of the internet.  I really should get to work...so much to do!  I went linedancing last night.  The dance floor was PACKED.  Unfortunatly, they didn't play all of the songs (dances) I would have liked, but it was all good.  My gf shorted out when it seemed like our waitress was clearing gf's drink every time we went to the dancefloor.  We complained, but all they did was give her a card that says, "keep my drink here."  :P  Very annoying.

Karla, saying a prayer for your gd.  Jean, enjoy your class!  GR, your sinus issue is so horrible...hope you get some real answers!  EL, I think you should judge your workout levels by the darth vader breath that Jean spoke of.  SJ, how many laps did you swim today?  the PA said I might never be able to swim without pain.  :(  "Just the cold, hard facts, please."   Ah, well, at least I can dance and do yoga!

My granddaughter is out of surgery and the surgeon said it went well. We are all just praying her recovery goes very smoothly. I have developed a runny nose so I may not get to see her until Saturday. I'm sure it is just allergies but  they are taking no chances since her spinal fluid is involved and I don't blame them.

I lifted weights yesterday afternoon then went to Insanity class, got up very early this morning and jogged 5 miles (in 34 degrees!). I am non-stressed now that everything appears to be going well so of course I am now starving. lol

I really appreciate all the positive thoughts from everyone. :-)

I guess it's all a learning experience on starting a new career.  It's good to get things under your belt.

Hope you start feeling better soon.  It seems like that Mystery Diagnosis show where one day, you'll find a doctor who's going to connect allt the dots.

It's great that you're getting out and dancing so much. I don't know how you get up for work the next morning!

Good to hear it went well!  Keeping you all in my thoughts.

You've gotten so hard core lately!  Lifting and then insanity and a run in the cold the next day--awesome!

I was able to Facetime with my granddaughter a few minutes ago and she looks rough. She was alert, talking and fighting with the nurses over the monitors so I take those as really good signs. :-)

Jean, I go through spells where I work out very hard for months then I'll suddenly stop and it'll seem like I barely move. lol

I thought I posted this a while back... We're pretty sure we know what's wrong.  Two different antibodies are not where they need to be and that has been causing problems.  One of them is too low making my immune system weak and the other is too high causing constant inflammation.  I got a shot in late August for the first issue and it appears it has worked,  My immune system is "normal" (as much as anything about me is ever normal).  The other is being treated with what I referred to as "magic injections."  It can't be tested with a blood test the insurance will cover so it's just patient report for right now.  My symptoms are changing - stuff is coming out of my face rather than it staying in and getting infected.  Believe it or not, that's progress.  Also, I've been off antibiotics for over a month and I haven't done that in over a year.

Hi ladies...I. Was briefly MIA because I was at the World Series! And I am posting in the middle of the fight because I am wide awake after the Red Sox loss...last night iwasn't awake after the win...tomorrow will be ugly...but at least it is Friday. The tickets came through. A freind of my much younger brother...I took him to our first game together when he was seven...inadvertently a single admission double header. My thought that he would be bored after four innings was way off...we saw every pitch of both games...tonight he pointed out where we sat that day, told me who the opponents was, and told me a story about a fly ball he didn't catch. All day I. Have been thinking that there was not one minute of that day when I thought 'this kid is my ticket tothe World Series someday'. My life growing up was such that I never even imagined I could hope to go to an event like this. I often say how blessed my life is...and the blessing isn't that I got to go to. The games but rather that my brother asked me to go....I did fit in fast gym visits for lifting yesterday and today, but my cardio is walking part way home from the ballpark and abs standing and holding myself in with nerves and excitement. Karla, I am so glad the surgery went ok. Kids usually seem to bounce back fast, hope this is true for you.
