Are they still trying to fix the boards or is this as good as it gets? I still have problems getting on.  Plus it would be nice to be notified of new posts. Sometimes I don't notice that others have responded.  I ended up trying zumba at the gym last night. Some movement is better than none.  I am so ADD.  I'm halfway through this post, sent an email, remembered a few things I wanted to look up and completely forgot I was in the middle of posting this. I'm not sure about my workout today. If my friend can run, I'll go w/ her. If I have the energy, I'll go to Eat Your Veggies which is parkour conditioning. If I'm feeling lazy, I'll go to zumba.  I'm having another handyman come in soon to give me an estimate on putting in my silks.  I really need to just bite the bullet and do it. I'll be so happy when I've had it done.

Jean, do you think you will still have as much enthusiasm for silks without an instructor or a class?

I'm heading to the doctor this morning.  I'm seeing my PCP for my annual so we're doing bloodwork and all that jazz.  No breakfast for me. No real plans aside from that.  Thinking I may do another light cardio workout.  Today is the 19th anniversary of DH's and my first date so we may do something special to celebrate that.

I feel really ADD too. My thoughts seem scattered throughout my brain, and thus I feel like a scatterbrain. I am so thoroughly exhausted, recovering from my cold. If I didn't have an appointment this afternoon I think I would call in sick today. I don't think the offices care if I come in sick or not, since all they do is see sick people all day. Again, no workout for me today...too tired. In regards to getting on the board, I have found that I have to log in from the main iVillage screen before I even go through and select the boards. It's the only way I can get in without being bounced back-and-forth multiple times. Is it annoying? Yes! But you guys are worth it. :)

Hi Jean,

Yes, they are still working on fixing the boards (I know..I know). It involves a far greater problem than anyone realized.  Post notifications do work but you have to sign up manually for them right now. They are working on making them automatic. Here are instructions if you would like to try it:

When on the thread that you'd like to receive notifications of new posts on, click on the options link and choose subscribe.

Now you need to change the subscription to an email one.

Click on edit my preferences > notifications > subscriptions. You may need to click on Tab 2 in order to see your subscriptions.

Now click on edit under the operations column on the subscription you'd like to get email notifications of.

In the send method drop down, choose HTML Mail.

Now click save subscription. You're done. You'll now get an email any time there is a reply to the thread.

I am so proud of myself. I broke through a personal fitnessy issue this morning. I think I have told you all a million times I am a weather wimp. Well, early this morning I decided I was going for a very short run (1.5 miles) no matter what. I got dressed in my new long sleeve running t-shirt, stretched, put a headband on my head, grabbed my gloves and got out in 48 degrees and windy weather and ran really pushing myself. I did it in just at 13 minutes. My husband was waiting on the front porch with coffee for me when I got back and even he was surprised that I did it. lol

Jean, I was so glad to hear you had fun at the Diva Dash. My sister had a great time too at hers. We have booked our hotel for the Warrior Dash and for fun are having matching shirts printed for us. I hope I can come back and say it was the funnest run I have ever done too.

Gym, my sister is still struggling with sinus issues so I am going to tell her about your latest treatments so she can see if it might help her too.

Fresh, I am wondering if part of your tiredness is stress? I know I feel exhausted when I am stressed and it makes all my symptoms worse.

My daughter-in-law has a test in a class tonight and son has to work so I will be babysiting tonight. :-)

Good luck at the doctor--hope it all comes out fine.

I need to practice silks more often.  I go to class/lessons at most once a week and spend a good part of that practicing old stuff.  The problem w/ learning something new is that it takes so much energy that I can't repeat it often enough to learn it. If I had a place to practice, I could continue practicing and not waste expensive lesson time doing stuff I can do on my own.  I need to do this at least twice a week to get better. I feel like I'm stagnating. So, yeah, I think I'd enjoy it, not only doing it but I'd enjoy doing silks so much more because I'd actually get better.

I get lucky on some days and not on others as signing in goes. Today was obviously not one of the good days!

Awesome on getting out in the cold! I hate to be cold and tend to overdress but then I'm too hot a mile in.

Good to hear they're still working on this. I was worried they'd think, "Good enough!" and move on.

Congrats on your cold run accomplishment! I love that feeling!
