I've had a very very tough weekend. The funeral for my friend's daughter was Saturday and it was just plain horrible. I know there wasn't a person in the room who wasn't staring at her kids thinking about how they will never remember her. There is just nothing else to say about the whole subject except it was the ultimate in sadness.

And life goes on. I got a new iPhone and my sister had a blast snapping pics while we were at the gym yesterday. lol I only let her post some that were decent. It's amazing that you don't realize the expressions on your face while working out until someone snaps a picture. lol I'm going to have to make a mental note to think about my face. ;-)

I've got a ton of chores to do and I want to get to the library today. I'll probably just do some cardio at the gym tonight since I got in a good weight circuit yesterday.

It's gloomy again here so I'm going to fry up some pork chops tonight. Yep, fried! With mashed potatoes. Mmmmm

Karla - I'm so sorry about your weekend.  :(  How are things going with your FIL?

FSN - Sounds like a lovely weekend and I'm glad you are happy!

I am off today as well.  I've got an appointment this morning to go get my new orthotics.  Fingers crossed that I will no longer be the world's loudest ninja with my squeaky shoes.  Planning to do a strength workout.  I'm hoping the hospital calls today to schedule surgery.

K, you must be completely exhausted.  {{{hugs}}}.   I was like a whirlwind this weekend, and perhaps the events surrounding your world were part of my positive motivations to get stuff done and look at the cup half full.  Btw, you have AWESOME form.  you should be in a magazine.

GR, have you seen those tv advertised thingies that Velcro around the arch of your foot?  I am wondering how dwell they work, given the many flat sandals that have no arch support.  They are only $10 so I have been contemplating a pair.  Is your surgery outpatient?

Fresh, we must have both posted at the same time this morning because I completely didn't see your post. I am glad to see you had a good weekend and are feeling better. Thanks for the compliment! Hahaha-my down dog/sun salutation feels better so I'm so happy to hear it looks better lol.

Gym, are you going to do outpatient surgery? Seems like only person I know who had that surgery may have spent the night but I can't remember why.

I'm seeing a lot of new people on the board that I am wondering if they are coming in from Twitter. If you are someone new, please let us know if you are finding us via Tweets or through the iVillage page with all the message boards on it. It would be interesting to know as I've been tweeting a lot and wondered if anyone was clicking on my links.

FSN - No, I haven't seen those arch supports.  If you get them, let us know how they are.

My surgery is outpatient so no overnight stays for me.  Presently, it's scheduled for March 6th which is a bummer because I wanted it sooner.  I am checking with my doc to see if there's any possibility of doing it sooner.
