How sad with all of the devastation on the east coast.  I just realized that for many people,Halloween will now be the "milestone" event forSandy.

Lots of work today, lunch with a friend, hand out candy tonight while the dogs go crazy!

<sigh> exhaustion sets in.  What are you all up to?

Oh I agree. I've been watching the devastation. I have finally heard word from two of my iVillage friends that they are okay. Very inconvienenced with no power, water, cell phone, or internet but otherwise alive with no damage.

My granddaughter is doing fine. She won't be needing surgery thanks be to God. She just had the shunt replaced in April and we were all freaking out over the possibility of brain surgery again but that isn't necessary. Whew!

I managed to get to the gym after all last night and got a great workout in. I'm going to try to go get cardio in tonight.

It is so cold here today I fired up the wood stove. It is amazing for this time of year to be this cold. It's a hot soup for dinner kind of night I think.

he deastation in unreal.  I was in NYC last week...flew into JFK, road on the Long Island railroad, the subway, and the PATH trains.  All shut down today...a week later.  I hope that the children in shelters are being treated to some form of Halloween...there are really long days ahead for Ney York and New Jersey.

I am semi back on track with my vacation plan to work out really hard - I lifted and swam yesterday and today.  I have done a few things on my 'go to Poland' list, and am looking at apartment choices online.  Last fall, I made a list, and my goal for tomorrow is to find it and actually do things on it...

FSN - hang in there...Karla, glad things are ok with your granddaughter.

It's kind of weird that today is Halloween because we celebrated last weekend. :P Did my cardio app this morning and worked. :)

I'm back!  We were out of power for a day or so and it's hard to escape the storm with so little damage when others have had such tremendous loss. It makes you realize what a minor inconvenience losing electricity is when it's normally a big complaint.  I know quite a few people who are supposed to run the NYC marathon and while it's a big deal to train and all, you just can't complain if they do have to concel it, given all they're going through.

I cancelled my early morning Monday clients and we barely had rain at that point. And since the storm hit at night, other than losing power, we wouldn't have even noticed it the next day. I do feel bad for the power guys out there in the cold rain.  They were down the street from us for the entire day.  Thanks to all the people out there, firefighters, police, FEMA, Red Cross, etc. nonstop.  So, no workout, lots of bad eating since we had no electricity but we're fine.
