lol Did anyone see the news about the term "humpday" possibly being banned from school

Jean-CONGRATS on your raise!

SJ-my granddaughter goes for spinal surgery on the 24th. We are hoping to keep her well until then. I am praying she keeps the ability to walk. She is to start a special needs preschool in January so she can get therapy 5 days a week.

It's Insanity for me today and then probably some grilled chicken for dinner. The weather is going to be beautiful the next few days so I am hoping to get out and take advantage of it.

What is everyone else up to?

Keeping your granddaughter in my thoughts, Karla! Good luck with it all.  We're getting hit w/ post Karen which pretty much mimics my life right now. Nothing super serious compared to what others are going through but enough to cause a headache.  My daughter decided to quit the dance company so no more competing.  It's discouraging for her to have most everyone move on and to the girls left behind, it feels like they're being told they're not good enough to make the cut.   I can't complain about that part so much but I do think 35+ girls in a class, with such a wide variety of levels isn't far to the girls or the teacher.  We'll see how it goes and whether I can get her to find something she loves as much. My son texted yesterday that it's fall break so he can come home for a long weekend so I'm excited on that front. I'll be heading out Friday to pick him up.  They think my MIL might have Alzheimers. She's been forgetful the past few years but is exhibiting more signs of agitation and paranoia. They've given her medication but there's little they can really do for it.  Never a dull moment!

I had an early morning client and am heading back for more in a couple of hours. If I can get to the parkour class, I will. If not, I will just go to the gym to practice silks.

Another question (thanks for being my sounding board and for forcing me out of my comfort zone on the raise).  I belong to a new gym and I have talked about it here. It's very pretty, state of the art but huge and impersonal. There are tons of classes but I can't do those anymore.  I've held onto the membership because it's only $28/month and I'll never get that rate again.  But, I only go every two months, at most and that's only when I'm deperate. Should I let it go?  Thoughts?  There is supposed to be a salt water pool/aerobics pool, jacuzzi, hot tub there and that might be nice but it's not close to opening yet. Hmmmm.

Hahaha...Karla, at first, I thought you meant ywith daily agenda was insane, and forgot about the Insanity class.  Praying for your granddaughter.  Jean, at 28 per month, keep it?  That's phenomenal, locks you into the price, and you won't feel guilty about it.  Can you just freeze your membership until you go back?  You might look at the contract or inquire as to the acceptable terms from freezing it.  Steph, I go to my local pet store to walk my dog when the weather is bad.  :O. Good socialization, possible shopping, etc.  it's a beautiful fall morning". I am doing some on-line training and administrative work before I head out for the day.  My mood seems to be lifting...not sure why, but, hey, "I'll take it."  No Linedancing tonight...everyone is busy.  :(. Maybe I'll quilt tonight and/or do some cardio.

Make it a great day!

I am home, waiting for someone to come change my gas meter...I put it off so long, they threatened me that they would get a warrant...so I hope they show up...I hate waiting for people....I have a gas stove, and although most people love gas, I do not..and I pay a mini um charge each month which also annoys me because some months, I make two cups of tea...but there isn't enough power in the building for an electric stove...so I am waiting....Jean, if you are never going to use tht gym, I would cancel and use the money for something else. It isn't a savings if you do n't use. And what would change that would make you like it? I feel for your daughter about dance. One of my nephews played soccer - he wasn't good at it because he spent too much time talking...what I think he liked was the audience....but eventually, he reached an age where there were no teams for average kids. Maybe it is life's way of making you do things you excel at....would your daughter like to go to Zumba with you? It would give you a shared experience? Or Ariel silks? Stephanie, I don't have a dog, but lots or people in my neighborhood do. My sister in law threatens to get me one whenever we see people walking them....but I aman adamant 'no'. I see people hoping the dog will take care of business in a snowstorm...not something I could do....I will check back later and report on whether the day was a waste...

Good idea Freshstart except I typically walk him in the morning as my evening schedule is so unpredictable. I work close to home so maybe I can give him a brief walk during my lunch hour.....

I wonder if I can freeze it. Normally, there has to be some kind of event, injury, temporary moving, job loss. I can ask, though.

You're here early! I'm with you on hating to wait. When I worked at New England Telephone, some manager had the bright idea that we could give people windows of time when we'd be there and charge extra for it. The judge came back and told them, if they could do it, then they needed to do it as customer services goes and not charge for it. Busted!  This was back when it was a monopoly and controlled.

My daughter does want to do capoiera and aerial silks so she has other interests, plus ski season is coming up. She'll stil be dancing three days a week, just not competition team (yay, no more dance moms).  She is terrible at the zumba movements and some of the moves we do are REALLY sexy.  I'm not sure she needs to be doing that!

Hi all!  Desk shopping was successful yesterday - soon I shall have a "proper" place to do my writing.  We got DH a desk too so it will finally be a nice room instead of a "crap" room.

At OP's this morning, trying to work on articles while I've got dog noses in my face.  Smile  Not sure about a workout today.  DH is sick so I might stay over here.  Not sure yet.

LOL about hump day being banned from school.  My current association with it is the camel commercial.  I don't really watch commercials but I LOVE that one.  There are two camels on the way to OP's new place so every time we drive by, one of us says "Hump Daaaaay!"

Jean, I say dump it.  It's kind of the same philosophy as clothes...  just because stirrup pants might come back in style doesn't mean you should keep them.  Besides, you have exercise ADHD so at some point, someone will invent something else you'll want to do and regular gym classes will seem so 2011.

SJ, I hate waiting too.  Read a good book or something to make the most of your day.

Stephanie, how awesome you can come home to walk the dog!

Karla, keeping your grandbaby in my thoughts.  You are such a strong woman.

FSN, that's good news about the blood pressure.

Hi Gym, since it wasn't raining anymore I went home to take my pooch for a quick walk so he could do his business outside. I was pressed for time so I quickly put him on his leash and didn't bother replacing my boots with tennis shoes or flats. You know where this is going - so of course he marks every tree along the way and finds a nice patch of grass to go #2 on. So here I am, in a dress and high heel boots cleaning up after my dog while holding onto the leash and trying to not let my heels sink into the mushy grass :O. Well, I got through it but not gracefully - lol. Note to self - put tennis shoes or flats on next time......
