lol Did anyone see the news about the term "humpday" possibly being banned from school

Jean-CONGRATS on your raise!

SJ-my granddaughter goes for spinal surgery on the 24th. We are hoping to keep her well until then. I am praying she keeps the ability to walk. She is to start a special needs preschool in January so she can get therapy 5 days a week.

It's Insanity for me today and then probably some grilled chicken for dinner. The weather is going to be beautiful the next few days so I am hoping to get out and take advantage of it.

What is everyone else up to?

That's why I love my capri sweatpants. The elastic around the bottoms make them fit lengthwise, the drawstring on top fit no matter how much weight I put on.  If I ruled the world, that would be the uniform!

Women should have clothes that fit.  Karla, you should get some pants either made for you or tailored to you.  You are more than worth it.

LOL I totally forgot about stirrup pants. I always wanted a pair but never had any because I was too tall and could never find them in my size.

Since I have been the same size since I was 14, most of my clothes usually wear out. I have never been much of a clothes person (nothing ever fits) so I don't have that much stuff to begin with.

I need to get myself a couple of pairs of new slacks but the brand I typically get stopped making my size. Ugg!

That's a sweet story about the police officers.  I can see why some people might have problems w/ them and there are obviously ones w/ issues but I've run by mostly very polite, friend P.O. Of course, I'm the demographic that isn't the least bit threatening, being all of 5' or so.  I love the piano idea, too.  We have panda bear statues but pianos are also usuable.

Since I've studied the Corrective exercise curricula, I've become a big believer in foam rolling.  It's often done incorrectly so it's good that there's a class in it. It is painful, though, in a good way.

Gymrat, I just threw away some stirrup pants from the 90's...I loved them, but I needed the drawer space...plus the 'snap' had gone out of the elastic...I am trying to throw stuff out but it is very hard for me....I wanted to share what I think is a nice story..the school bus drivers in Boston had an unexpected work stoppage yesterday...so the police mobilized, rolled out the 'naughty boys' buses, drove around the city and delivered kids to school. Even plain clothes detectives donned uniforms so kids would know they were police. One officer Even  had a girl send his picture to her mother so she would be omfortable with him...talk about Officer Freindly. This is the same police force tht responded so heroically to the Boston Marsthon bombing and it's aftermath....and another great Boston story...we are having something called 'the Piano Project'. There are 75 pianos scattered around the city. The ones i've seen are outside, and they are artistically painted...and every time I walk by one, some random person s playing..not some famous person, just someone walking by who saw the piano, sat down and started playing. It only lasts until next week, but I hope it returns next year, because I think it is so cool....so many people have musical talent and we don't realize it. One of my retirement dreams is to buy a piano and take lessons...and practice....I went o the gym, foam rolled, and them lifted for legs. Foam rolling is surprisingly hard. I do it because my trainer teaches he class and I want o support him but I am starting to look forward to it. Hope everyone has a good night!

Hi Gym, since it wasn't raining anymore I went home to take my pooch for a quick walk so he could do his business outside. I was pressed for time so I quickly put him on his leash and didn't bother replacing my boots with tennis shoes or flats. You know where this is going - so of course he marks every tree along the way and finds a nice patch of grass to go #2 on. So here I am, in a dress and high heel boots cleaning up after my dog while holding onto the leash and trying to not let my heels sink into the mushy grass :O. Well, I got through it but not gracefully - lol. Note to self - put tennis shoes or flats on next time......

Hi all!  Desk shopping was successful yesterday - soon I shall have a "proper" place to do my writing.  We got DH a desk too so it will finally be a nice room instead of a "crap" room.

At OP's this morning, trying to work on articles while I've got dog noses in my face.  Smile  Not sure about a workout today.  DH is sick so I might stay over here.  Not sure yet.

LOL about hump day being banned from school.  My current association with it is the camel commercial.  I don't really watch commercials but I LOVE that one.  There are two camels on the way to OP's new place so every time we drive by, one of us says "Hump Daaaaay!"

Jean, I say dump it.  It's kind of the same philosophy as clothes...  just because stirrup pants might come back in style doesn't mean you should keep them.  Besides, you have exercise ADHD so at some point, someone will invent something else you'll want to do and regular gym classes will seem so 2011.

SJ, I hate waiting too.  Read a good book or something to make the most of your day.

Stephanie, how awesome you can come home to walk the dog!

Karla, keeping your grandbaby in my thoughts.  You are such a strong woman.

FSN, that's good news about the blood pressure.

You're here early! I'm with you on hating to wait. When I worked at New England Telephone, some manager had the bright idea that we could give people windows of time when we'd be there and charge extra for it. The judge came back and told them, if they could do it, then they needed to do it as customer services goes and not charge for it. Busted!  This was back when it was a monopoly and controlled.

My daughter does want to do capoiera and aerial silks so she has other interests, plus ski season is coming up. She'll stil be dancing three days a week, just not competition team (yay, no more dance moms).  She is terrible at the zumba movements and some of the moves we do are REALLY sexy.  I'm not sure she needs to be doing that!

I wonder if I can freeze it. Normally, there has to be some kind of event, injury, temporary moving, job loss. I can ask, though.
