I like to move it move it...hahaha, now that song will be stuck in your head all day. Boy did I have a busy weekend!

My granddaughter is home and doing well. Her parents are already seeing some improvement. It turned out her spinal cord situation was worse than expected once they got in there and it was a good thing they didn't wait for the surgery. As of last night she could stand up straight, her feet were no longer drawing in as severely, and her posture was much improved. She has to have extenstive PT to retrain her to walk the correct way but this is all good news to us.

I ran 10K with my sister yesterday and we both struggled at the end. My legs are completely out of good running condition so it is going to take me a while to build up. Good thing I set my goal for the half in late spring. lol

Also, I bought a decent bathing suit from Athleta and for the first time in my life I have a one-piece suit that fits properly. I may attempt to do some swimming in the next few months.

It is going to be really nice weather the next two days so I hope to get out a lot. What are you up to?

Thanks for the recipe. I will try it out....I am not sure what over proofing is...does that mean I let it rise too much? I was thinking that I kneaded it too much between rises...I wanted to add raisins and I did it then, but I think I should have done it before the first rise and then minimally handled it after that....I will maybe try again but there are so many recipes it is hard to retry an old one when I can try out a new one!

The schedule depends on the clients and what we get so it needs to be done on the fly.  I work certain days but like to fool around to make it flow around my life. At the same time, I can't take the middle clients and leave the other trainer w/ a big space in his schedule, either. Well, I could, but it wouldn't be fair.  "Yeah, come in at 6am, train one person, wait around for 2 1/2 hours when I want to leave and take another."

I love baking bread!  I'm such a geek about details and have read all the books I can about it.  If you want a super easy one, try the no-knead bread:

http://www.steamykitchen.com/168-no-knead-bread-revisited.html

It's my standard go-to when I don't want to spend a lot of time.  King Arthur has the most consistent high protein flour level and I used to use it exclusively but it's almost twice the price of regular flour.  Now, I go back and forth but KA is harder to find these days.  Bread flour gives you more texture so if I'm doing an artisan bread, I'll use that. If I'm doing dinner rolls and want a softer texture, I use all purpose.  Sinking could be caused by the bread overproofing on the second rise.  I've found that no matter whatever goes wrong along the line, the bread tastes so much better than store bought.

Karla, that is great about your granddaughter - everyone must be so relieved to have a positive outcome. Jean, I am with FSN - ask for what you want...FSN, I was on the singles board before this, and OLD there means online dating..lfor a second I thought you were branching out...Gymrat, I think it is as important to know when you are wrong for a job as to know you are right for it. I stayed up late watching baseball....but I slept until 11 yesterday to catch up...I left my house. Only to put the trash on the sidewalk. I am working on learning to make bread with yeast. I made whole wheat last week, and it came out perfect. I wanted to make rye bread this week, but my grocery store didn't have rye flour. I went with pumpkin oatmeal,. Did you know there are different kinds of white flour? Bleached, unbleached, bread, all purpose, cake, pastry....I had no idea....li have all purpose, so I found a recipe that called for that. It rose ok, but somehow in the baking, it seemed to sink...but it tastes good and I like the texture. But I am going to buy bread flour - I have heard that Kung Arthur flour is the best - I always buy store brand but the bread is enough effort that I am willing to splurge. I went to Zumba Saturday, but it was a substitute and I wasn't engaged - but I stuck it out. Today I biked for 15 minutes (going no where), lifted for chest/back, then ran 2 miles...and now I am again watching baseball....

Karla, I am so glad your gd is on the road to recovery!  And congrats on all of your running progress!  GR, chocolate and wine tasting sounds wonderful!  Jeanit it is FINE that you set up the schedule to your liking. why'd you don't ask for what you want, you will never get it.  EL, I love trying new food.  I will have to look that up!  Work was busy today, then physical therapy.  I am so tired...stayed up late watching a movie last night.  My obliques were killing me from yoga on Sunday!  with the cold weather, my joints are making me feel OLD!  Life is good!  :)

Good to hear about your granddaughter!  PT should be a piece of cake compared to this.  I ordered the top of a tankini from Athleta and am really happy w/ it. I looked all over for a bottom and found a perfectly matching one at Costco, of all places.  Good job on the 10k! It's so excitng when you start running farther and farther.

I had early morning clients and finally have a minute. My workout schedule is messed up, a lot of little workouts so I'm not sure if I need a rest day. I ran 2 miles yesterday and waked about the same so not quite a workout. I'm diong silks tomorrow, w/ a new partner, so not sure if I want to do it tonight. I could use a rest day but have been lazy too long.  What to do, what to do?

Karla, good news on your grand daughter and the 10K.

I'm feeling a bit weary after the weekend.  Lots of social time so I'm feeling a bit hermit-y at the moment.  Did some cardio this morning but keeping it low key.  If my heart rate gets up very high, the asthma starts kicking in so I'm mostly just exercising for heart health at this point.  I'd like to do more but my body isn't permitting it and I'm going to listen.

I was negotiating with a client this morning for a good long time and I've concluded I'm not the person for the project.  Ah well.  Going to work on some more online profiles and such today and do some picking up.  I've got a day of errands tomorrow so I'm going to focus on getting things done today.

DH and I are probably going to hang out with OP tonight and watch one of our shows.
