It's a gorgeous sunny Monday morning

There seems to be a nice quote, unquote in the air this morning. I work with my manager for the next two days. For the first time, I do not feel nervous. It's just the same old routine. This will be a lesson in my patience, as this very young man likes to lecture despite his lack of experience. C'est la vie. I am feeling very sore, as I added this new elliptical to my routine before yoga. It seems to be helping with my hamstring, since in yoga, it seems like they stretch way too soon. Also I've gained a few pounds back, so I am trying to get back to clean eating. And, I've really been challenging myself with app work, so my sides and front of my abdomen are so sore. Work out sore is a good sore. Work today, a dirty martini awaits me at night.

It is absolutely gorgeous here today too! It doesn't appear as though we are going to have a roasting hot summer and that is okay with me. Just as long as the sun is shining and I don't have to wear a jacket, I'll be fine.

Fresh-I am so glad you are not feeling nervous today. Job stress is a horrible thing to deal with!!

My daughter has her first ball practice tonight. I am hoping that this year goes better than last when she sat on the bench most of the time. It is the same coach so I am not expecting much.

There were a few awkward moments at the baby shower but mostly everything went great. At one point bubbles were pouring out of my dishwasher but I quickly got it cleaned up. Obviously someone used a laundry packet instead of dish soap in it. I have been worried this might happen and sure enough...it did:

I'm off today and thankful for this...  My motivation has run off and I'm feeling sloth-y.  There's a ton to do before the party this weekend and I think I'm feeling overwhelmed.

Got my tattoo last week and I absolutely love it.  My artist was absolutely wonderful and I would go back to her again in a heartbeat.

Planning to do strength training.  I'm not supposed to wear shoes if I can avoid it so it'll be barefoot workouts this week.  DH and I are going to run errands this afternoon... and it's so warm out.  So warm.

I'm on my second latte...

Woohoo, I'm in!!! Thanks for the link to the new sign in, Karla.  The past week I've been on the outside looking in and not being able to be part of the action!  I can't even remember the last time I posted.  Karla, did you send the link to sj, too?  I've started a learn to row w/ my husband. It's two weeks, five days a week and then works down to 3 days a week.  We had our first session on Saturday and it all comes back pretty quickly.  Last week was a lot of new stuff for me--samba no pe, rowing, title boxing, parkour eat your veggies (this is conditioning for parkour--intense where we ended the class w/ 10 pull ups, 10 chin ups, 25 burpees w/ push ups and pull ups. You know, in most classes I go to, I feel like I'm one of the fittest in the class but here, I'm by far the worst).

I've done that before w/ the dishwasher, Karla!  We were renting a vacation place and I didn't realize it until suds came pouring out. Glad the shower went pretty well, suds aside!

Your tattoo was beautiful. Who designed it?

I picked a shop and then I picked the artist based on her portfolio.  I gave her my idea but she ultimately designed it.

Jean, the sign in issue is a result of moving to new servers and hopefully they'll get everything back up and running so we can sign in at the regular links soon. At this point we are all pretty optimistic the new tech team will get things running smoother.

Gym, I think I saw your tatoo. Is it on your shoulder? I thought I saw a cool tatoo on FB in my news feed.

I am in too! Karla, your ability to be optimistic is impressive...I remain appalled by the IV incompetence...I know so many out of work IT professionals...good talent is out there...glad the shower wnt well. I have ,fearof dishwasher overflow. My mom would never leave the house with the ishwaher running, but i live on the edge. Gymrat, i am the sort of person who thinks it would be cool to get a tatoo, but i never will because it is just too much in conflict with who i am. I say every year lately that if the Celtics win the NBA finals, i will get a shamrock on my shoulder. The last time they won, i got a green streak in my hair for the last set of games, and people still talk about it. Jean, i love your fitness variety. FSN i like your c'est la vie attitude. I have been thinking about your daughter - i am glad she is going for therapy...the siyuation with your ex and your son can't be easy for her...i wonder if some of her boyfreind issues are really father issues. Its hard to work through relationships......we had summer this weekend, but then rain this morning. I went to Zumba and ran a mile (without walking!) and went kayaking on Saturday. I slept through Zumba time yesterday and settled for a walk on the beach. Back to normal Monday...four minute bike warmup, lifting for chest/back, abs, ran 2 miles(but with walking). I am thirty days in to my '900 calorie deficit for 90 days' plan, and I've lost 10 pounds. And jun 1 was my ten year anniversary of joining the gym...I never thought iwould love working out like I do...but I do!
