How is everyone? The weather is gloomy here. It's been raining so much. The weeds have grown in the water retention area behind my house. It must be 5 foot tall, and I'm sure it's filled with tics and wild animals. Thankfully, I am having lunch with a friend. I really miss this woman who lives in the city that I used to live in, an hour away. Today, I am thankful for those I love that surround me. My husband made the mistake of asking our children where they want to go on vacation. I told him it was a mistake, but he wouldn't listen. I do not feel like getting involved at this point. I don't even think I care at this moment. As a "teacher "told me, "let it happen."I need to meditate on the serenity prayer again. SJ, you're right, and I'm trying to take care of everyone around me, again. Gymrat, you are right too, I guess codependency is like alcoholism. I've slipped back into the abyss."Calgon, take me away." Lots of work today, lunch with a friend, Much-needed martini after dinner tonight, no work out. Tomorrow, I will go to yoga. Also, I have friends coming in from California and Florida in the next 10 days. IAM, "playing it by ear, "as I am unsure as to what everyone's plans are.

It's been like the tropics here the last several days; Stormy, hot, sunny, humid. I love it! Personally I would prefer the temperature be a little cooler but I'm not going to complain. This summer is nothing like the last two.

I'm sitting here on pins and needles again waiting for my daughter to get out of the doctor's office. They are doing checks a couple of times a week now because of her blood pressure. The doc says she is fine to have the baby any day now and they are hoping she goes into labor on her own (rather than having to induce) but at some point if the bp gets higher then they will need to step in and do something.

I got a great workout in yesterday and then took my granddaughter over to my sister's for a little pool party with her grandson. My granddaughter is not allowed to go to a public pool yet so we got one of those baby blow up pools and the grands had a blast. I spent way too much on a couple of cute bathing suits, shoes and a cover up but I guess that's what grandmas do. lol

Abby has another double header this evening so if we aren't at the hospital then we will be at the ball park.

FSN and Karla, I'm envious of your storms!  We should be getting into monsoon season soon and I am looking forward to it.  I love my sunny Arizona days but I do miss the thunderstorms we had all the time back in the Midwest.  Summer is when I get my fix.

I am actually off until Friday.  One client is out of town and the other is taking a two week break (but she renewed last week so I don't have to worry that she's leaving).  This is nice because it will give me a chance this week to focus on my writing stuff.  I also have a ton of little things that I've been putting off so I will tackle those this week too.

I'm doing a strength workout today and running some errands. Tonight, we're taking my friend out for her birthday.

We are starting to gear up for Burning Man.  We have a new camp member this year from Brazil.   He's going to fly to Phoenix a couple days before we leave, hang out with us, and then drive up with us.  It's his first visit to the US.  We've been emailing for a couple of months now and I'm excited to have him here.  I'm learning a lot about Brazilian culture.  Simply going to Burning Man is a big undertaking but coming from another country is something else altogether.  I've been trying to take care of a lot of the plans so he doesn't have to stress when he gets here.

My mood has been better and my eating has been better (not awesome, but better).  I counted my prednisone this morning and after this week, there are 36 left!  ARRRGHHHH. I see my doc next month on my birthday so perhaps I will beg and plead that we can stop before I finish the rest of them.  Never will I take sanity for granted again.  Embarassed  My new favorite salad is those big fat tomatoes cut up and drizzled with chipotle infused olive oil and kosher salt.  YUM.  I am also binging on cherries and peaches.  I am really digging summer fruit this year.

I am in beautiful New Jersey, and it is hot and muggy..but I am inside, so I don't care. I am eating crap because this is a stressful meeting day and I need sugar to cope...I could swim at the hotel, but I am having a drink with my dinner, so I probably won't....Karla, I think those baby pools are very fun for kids. And fingers crossed on the babies..I am choosing July 4 for both babies in the baby date choosing pool...two uses of 'baby pool' in the same post...Gymrat, I didn't realize you were going to BM..is your husband kitty sitting? FSN, I think you should say Tell me what to pacK' for vacation, and if no one tells you, go to Canyon Ranch or some awesome yoga retreat after they go back to school...

SJ-I am SOOOOOOOO hoping for a 4th of July baby!!! LOL My daughter appears to be the best bet (she's due  on July 5) and I am trying to get her to at least name his middle name Sam if he is born on the 4th. ;-)

The 4th of July is our biggest family shindig of the year and it would be great to have a birthday to go along with the celebrations. Hahaha, he'd forever think the celebrations were all about him.
