It's a new day on Wednesday

Fresh start?! I think I just need to focus on the positive. Make the best decision at any juncture, and then let any worries go. I see the doctor today, to start a plan for possible HRT, as well as regular bloodwork. I'm anxious to see if my numbers change since I changed my diet and lost weight. I am hoping that some of my inks overworked and other issues is related to the menopause, and can be resolved with HRT. From what I have read, it could be the cause for the majority of of the angst. I have work today, scheduled a lunch with a girlfriend, and I may be line dancing tonight. What are you all up to?

Karla and Gymrat, holding good thoughts for Mom had the Carotid artery surgery, actually twice because they did each side separately, and she did well...and actually, she had a small baby (me), and we did well too....Jean, you make me wonder if I am a high maintenance training client. I feel badly sometimes when I think my trainer is working hard to make conversation with me...some nights, I just don't have much to say...not many, but some. FSN, I am interested in how the HRT goes. I am sure you have read Dr. Northrup's books on women's health....I love her concepts about women's cycles...but on this side of menopause, I have to say I don't miss the cycles at all....I went to the gym to in't, 14 minute bike warmup, lifting for legs, and then swam, outside, in the rain...30 laps but the outdoor pool is much longer than inside, so it was more like 60. The air and the water was warm, and the rain not too heavy. I tried a new recipe tonight for baked, breaded zucchini...super easy and yummy....another time I would cut them thinner so they would be more like chips...

Karla, I think your family is keeping the local hospital in business.  :O  I am sending a prayer to you and your family.  Gymrat...carotid endarterectomy?  Just know that it is fairly common...I know several physicians who have had it done...thank goodness for the technology we have in this day and age!  Jean, you are SO BUSY this summer!  I can hardly believe how on-th-go you are!

My daughter got a job tomorrow, so I took a vacation day to drive her, although I will be on two conference calls since I am on the "bad" side with my manager, and I called the other meeting with five other people.  :(

Best wishes to you Karla for granddaughter and to Kel for mom. Waiting is the worst.

I've been thinking I'm kind of burning out with my job but rethinking it, it's just some people I'm tired of training. The thing is they're all such nice people and being the same way, I feel bad feeling this way.  If I could keep working but pick and choose my clients, that would be ideal!  Would it be terrible if I pushed off the high maintenance clients to the new trainer?  I'm just kidding--you all know I wouldn't do that!

I just got back from Zumba. I'll be off to college orientation early tomorrow morning for two days. I'm thinking I can blow off most of the talks. I think they're mostly to keep parents happy while kids are there.  I'm going to miss the social reception mingling stuff, the "Is Everybody Drinking?", Frat life talks. Fun times.

FSN, good luck with the HRT.  As I mentioned, my client that went on it was like a different person.  She was sleeping (the lack of sleep was affecting her weight and mood) and has had a lot more energy.  She also seems to be feeling more positive.  If you are especially "low tolerance" because of menopause, that would definitely color how you see the world.

Karla, you are surrounded with baby drama!  Hopefully all is well and they can keep the baby in the oven for a bit longer.

As you can all can imagine, I'm kind of jumpy, jittery, and stressed today.  I just talked to my stepdad and she's currently in surgery.  They're almost done cleaning out the arteries in her neck and will soon start on removing the mass in her heart.  That procedure will take about 4 hours.  I am very nervous...

I did a steady state cardio workout this morning and have a client in a couple hours.  I will also be working on some BM stuff.  We lost two people and two other people are AWOL so I need to re-distribute responsibilities.

I'm going to do my best to stay calm today and that will probably involve cocktails.  Tongue Out

What a day I've had already. Yesterday afternoon my daughter-in-law went to the doctor and they decided to remove her cervical cerclage since she is now a month out from her due date. Of course there were complications and they had to take her to the OR to remove it. Because the baby is only about 4 lbs right now, they are trying not to deliver her yet. Well DIL went into labor and they got it stopped at 4:00 AM. They are still in the hospital this morning waiting for the doc to come in to tell them what happens next.

We have severe weather on the way this afternoon and I doubt I'll get a workout in today. I think I am too tired anyways.

Sheesh, being a grandmother is hard sometimes!

Gym, how is your mother?
