Meh on Monday...

So not ready for Monday although I have very little to complain about since I have a really easy day.  Just one client this morning and then a glass blowing class with my friend tonight.  I really don't feel like going but we bought the coupons over the summer and they are about to expire so if I don't go today, I lose it.  I'll be doing strength training when I get home from work. Also need to go to the grocery store for veggies - ate terribly over the weekend and it's showing on the scale.  Oy.  I'm going to try to eat healthfully this week which shouldn't be too difficult except for tomorrow night.  We're having a little election party and I did buy myself some wine to drink.

Karla - FYI, the board has gone back to the way it was before - if my browser isn't full screened, I get the mobile version.  If I click on subscribe, it does seem to "take" but I still have yet to receive any emails (I did change the delivery mechanism).

Breakfast: yogurt, granola, honey

Snack: edamame

Lunch: bean burrito, fruit

Snack: ?

Dinner: veggies of some kind...

Ever heard the phrase, "Do something every day that scares you?"  Well, I am on IE today.  We shall see how it goes.  :)  Fb pictures only work for me on IE, but IV only seems to work on chrome.  :O

My abs are screaming from a new pilates instructor on Saturday.  Saturday night, dh and I went to a new restaurant, "The Girl and the Goat" from some reality show top chef?  It was delish.  Then we went to a Bulls game.  Can you believe that a grown woman (in her late 30s?) was so drunk that she and her SO locked themselves in the bathroom for most of the game.  Really?!  WTF.  I am guessing she is having some emotional drama in her life at the moment.

My foot (that was previously broken) is "twinging" which is totally scaring me.  I did not "push" myself in the  balance moves in yoga yesterday for fear of breaking it again.  :(  The cold weather is making me all achey, and, plus, after three months, it is ttom.  Ugh.  Lots of work today, maybe a spin class tonight...not sure, as I will play it by ear...the time change has me a bit off balance, as does my raging hormones - so dizzy!

Gymrat, glassblowing sounds like FUN!  I am so jealous.  I was just talking to a friend about how much fun glassblowing was when I did it in highschool.  :)

I feel the same about today, meh. Gaining an hour didn't help make the early morning client seem later.  And, she was in a mood, too.  I have to say she's my favorite person, of the clients, similar views, interesting background but she's the toughest client at the same time.  The more I train, the worst shape I'm in and it's making me crazy.  I'm too tired from training to get my own workouts in. I have to get my act together.  I have one client who was about the same fitness level I was when we started together (in May). she's gotten into so much better shape and I've gotten into so much worst and now it's discouraging!

Have a fun election party! I can't wait for it to be over but I don't want it to end the way I think it's going to end.  Let's leave it at that.

How was Girl and the Goat? What kind of food?  I loved Stephanie Izard on Top Chef!  Did you see her or meet her?

Have you seen anyone lately about your foot? I wonder if scarring could be causing the pain. I'm learning so much more about scarring, now that I'm having ankle problems.

Back to work after vcation is never easy - getting up on time was tough, and I was hungry all day - becasue I eat often (and More) whenI am home.  FSN - my once broken foot is acting up also.  I didn't run last week to give it time to calm down, but it hasn't so I didn't run tonight either.  Ice and ibuprofen are good emporary fixes, bu I don't want to medicate to run because I think my body is telling me something, even though I don't want to hear it.

I did lift tonight, starting with a three minute bike warmup and ending with abs - lifting for chest/back - chest press, incline beench, bar; chest press, flat bench, dumbbells.  Seated fly.  Assisted pullups, Deadlits. Seated row. Lat pull down....

I am excited to vote tomorrow....it makes me proud to be an American, where we decide things in peaceful ways like voting.  No matter who wins, we will still be mostly OK...I know things aren't good everywhere, but it is hard to tell there is any economic issues here.  Saturday I was in an upscale shopping area in the city...every woman had on stylish boots - and I know they are mostly new this year because last year boots weren't in style.  At one place, thre was a 50 minute wait for dinner...at the other, the guy in front of me had five in his party, and he was told - not until after 10:00...I ate at the bar....I think we should talk more about what is right (the worldwide we, not the we of this board!) and focus less on the negative...sometimes I am very Pollyannaish...anyway< i will be glued to my tv tomorrow night watching the returns....if you can't vote often, at least vote early!

I read an article in the Washington Post about the televised debates and how they played around the world. They said people in China were envious that we had two such different candidates and both could express their views.  I'm really ready for the election to be over--living in a swing state, it's been non-stop hammering.  I've turned through every station on my radio and there was a political ad on every one.
