I have a Benadryl (aka "Simply Sleep") hangover.  The upside of HRT is getting the zing back in my step, the downside is getting a period.  :(  I thought I had peed in my pants, but, no, "Aunt Flo" came for a visit...right before my vacation.  Booyah!  C'est la vie.  I woke up late, so I was late for my doctor's appointment this morning, missed my workout class, and so now I wait for a delivery for my job.  If I get lucky, I will work more work-study, massage, mani/pedi, and spray tan, but that is only if I am lucky with the timing of all that has to happen today (aka, something is gonna "give.")

We leave for FL in two days.  Yea!  Sunny warm weather, here we come!  I will probably do early morning yoga tomorrow, before a full day of work.

I had yesterday off. I spent a girls day with the middle daughter, did some shopping and a movie. I got us home early so I could make a eggplant lasagna. I spent about 30 minutes out in the yard raking leaves and then went to the Y after DH got home and did 35 minutes on the elliptical machine.

Usually in Zumba, I stay in the back row, in the corner. But I took the class the first time this guy taught, and it was a small group. Because I wanted him to feel welcome at the gym, I went in the front row so I could encourage him. And i often join the front row now because i did it once. He is a really good instructor - he learns everyone's name and does individual corrections. Some people don't like that, but I find it helpful. The other person who teaches Zumba at this gym 'leads' the class but in my opinion, doesn't teach....

You are not allowed to wonder how bad you must have been in class.  Enjoy the compliment.  Wink

Hello ladies...my weight is up today too...I want carbs and chips...and I am eating carbs and chips...it is snowing Gain with more on the way...plus cold..which makes me want...carbs and chips. I went to Zumba Saturday, and the instructor sent someone into. The locker room after class to have me come out...so he ould tell. Me how much I have I proved. On the one hand, I am thrilled..on the other hand, how bad was I? I am trying to hear the compliment. I swam 100laps yesterday. No gym today, but I wAlked to the train - 30 minutes - instead of taking a cab. I had a nice family day fit in around 'work from anywhere'. I have never had a spray tan...my biggest vice is that I tan in the actual sunshine in the summer - or winter if I sign up for the Florida trip....

Yeah, Gymrat, I "upped" the dosage to what the doc first prescribed (thinking I would feel even better!), so I am backing it down to the half dose.  It's actually a cream of plant based estradiol applied to the inside of the arms.  I can't imagine having to read and critique something I didn't like...I have a hard enough time reading through an entire book (I seldom read books to the end because I get bored...I have book ADD.)  Cath, what kind of dancing?  And, it sounds like you have a great routine of some cardio and muscle toning set up to reach your goals.  I have done this quantum wellness cleanse a couple times, which helped, but it is so hard to eliminate dairy/gluten/animal meat/sugar/caffeine!  I love my morning cup of coffee!!!  Karla, yeah, I did the spray tan a couple years ago, and I think the trick is to get the light color.  Plus, the person who did it does all day long, so she has a lot of experience.  I love that it covers so much if you know what I mean.  :)  As for FL, I am already "paying for it" in that I have to CRAM IN so much work before and after I leave!!!  Cest la vie...all I want to do is have some fun.

FSN, keep in mind that unless they are capsules, you can cut them in half (or take one if the dosage is two).

Cathy, I imagine it would be easier (sort of) being vegan.  But cheese is wonderful.  My best friend is gluten-intolerant so I already spend lots of time reading labels to make sure we don't poison her.  Tongue Out

Karla, how's your foot feeling?

It has been a nutty day.  I've been editing this book that turned out to be a LOT more work than I expected.  I finished it today but have something else due tomorrow and a couple more articles due by week's end.  Aside from 45 minutes for cardio and 20 minutes for lunch, I worked ALL day.  (Yes, I am making fun of myself because I usually have a much more leisurely schedule.)  I trained a client this afternoon.  I didn't really want to leave but it was a very good excuse to get away from the computer.  Hoping the week is a little less nuts.

Well, I weighed myself today.  I am a good 10-15 pounds heavier than I should be (I would never admit this to anyone except dh, but I weigh 138.  No, it's not a tragic weight.  For my body, though, it's big.)  All of my pants are struggling to stay fastened.  And my upper arms look ....big.    Anyway, I did some pilates over the weekend and walked the dog faster and longer this morning.  I think a lot of it is getting in a routine!  Florida sounds great just about now.  It is 32 degrees here in PA this morning and that actually felt a bit balmy.  After a pep talk with myself on the way into work, we had a birthday party for my boss and I ate the cake and all.  it was easier when I was simply vegan.  All of these items were simply not allowed.  Using my discretion is not easy.  However, neither is eating vegan.

Had a fun date with the dh at the school fundraiser dance over the weekend.  My knee did not give me any issues with dancing.  I have been religiously doing the PT's exercises.  Not being able to walk well is an enormous motivater.

Waaa. I want to go to Florida. I want to feel warm sunshine and have my feet burnt in the sand. Instead, I am freezing and we are expecting more snow.

I have never had a spray tan but know several people who have gotten them. Some look great and you can't tell it is spray and others you can tell. I wonder if it is the difference in tanning lotions or skin types.

I am doing some administrative work with the kids' school today. I may try to get to the gym to do intervals on the tread today but not sure I will have time.
