I am so tired today. My husband is so wonderful, he threw a surprise birthday party for me. I had absolutely no idea, and so the adrenaline rush that ensued for a couple hourha ss taken it's toll. On top of the party, I had also gone to an early morning yoga class and a two hour dance lesson. Incidentally, I had thrown a surprise birthday party for my husband Cripe years ago, and he told me that he waited five years to "pay me back. "OMG, I feel so loved and so blessed.  :). Today I meet with a man that is trying to get a management position at my company. I am forwarding along everything that I know in hopes that he is hired. I also have lots of work to do, and tonight I may either go dog training or go to yoga. I have decided to take a Viennese waltz class that starts this week, and I am so excited.  :). Also, this weekend I travel back down to see my mother, when I will also be able to see the owner of the dance studio that my mother goes to do demonstration. It's going to be a busy week! What is everybody else up to?

Fresh I saw the pictures of your party and it looks like you had a great time. That was so cool of your husband!!

Viennese Waltz? I have never heard of it but anything like that sounds interesting. I wish there were things like that in my town.

For the month of October I jogged 88 miles. I'm off to a good start for November. I jogged 7 miles yesterday (72 minutes) so that puts me just over the halfway mark for a half-marathon. I felt great and I'm feeling stronger each week so I'm pretty darn happy about it right now. My target date for my half is in April. I have a race picked out and I am going to sign up soon. Once I sign up then mentally I am committed. I feel like if I stay on present course I will be well conditioned and will finish with no problems and no injuries.

My workout today will be a light jog then some upper body weights. Hubby has to work so it'll probably just be leftovers for dinner.

FSN, I saw the photos on FB too... how neat!  I hope you had a wonderful time at your party.

Karla, you are on a roll woman!  That's a lot of miles.

I'm a bit groggy today but hanging in there.  Getting ready to do a strength workout.  Got some more work irons in the fire so we'll see.  :)

88 miles in one month?!  No wonder you have a hard time keeping the weight on.  Holey moley!  Good for you on doing this when it is so cold!

How is the writing search and the sinuses doing?  I've been having stuffy sinuses with the change of the season...so annoying!

Tha's really sweet of your husband. It must have taken a lot of planning!  Good job, Karla, on all the running. I love how quickly you've gotten into it.  GR, how goes the writing?

I don't have much time these days.  We got a puppy. I had wanted a slightly older dog 1-5 yers old, house trained, bigger so I could run w/ it.  Well, we saw a puppy that was supposed to be a retriver mix and was so cute we thought we'd look at it. Super cute in person, my daughter fell in love and then the foster person told us she was sure this wasn't a retriver that it was most likely a chihuahua/terrier mix. And, I couldn't say no at that point. So ,we have this yippy little dog and are up every 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours w/ it at night. It's like having a baby. It is good, though, and reall good natured so we'll be okay, if I get past these next few weeks!

FSN, happy birthday! Was the party the reason your husband was house cleaning so diligently? jean, never go look at a puppy or kitten without being prepared to bring it home...Karla, good going on the running....Gymrat, hope you chose some good topics to write about. I have laryngitis...I always lose my voice if I get tired, and the Red Sox games caught up to me. I always say it is a. Blessing for all who have to listen to me....I did go to the gym to lift tonight, but I didn't run.

Yeah, my sister said they went w/out paperwork or anything, just to look, and came home w/ a puppy!  We were so unprepared!
